The vast majority of the subjects who received the third dose of the vaccine experienced a significant increase in antibody levels one week after the injection. Here are the details. Of the 100 people over 60 who received a booster injection at Tel Hashomer Hospital outside Tel Aviv, 98 developed levels of antibodies similar to those present one week after receiving the second dose. The other two people will be examined again after a week.
On August 12, the results of the study are to be presented to experts who will debate the possibility of giving a third dose to people aged 40 and over.
High level of antibodies and high immunity – the relationship is still unconfirmed
As noted on the Kan portal, the relationship between high antibody levels and high immunity is still not fully confirmed. However, data collected in Israel so far has shown that there is such a link after the second dose.
