Thiogamma is a drug used to treat the sensory disorders that occur in diabetic polyneuropathy and paraesthesia – burning, stinging, itching or tingling. It reduces pain, which is especially important in the case of nerve damage caused by diabetes. Diabetic neuropathy is the most common disease affecting diabetes. It manifests itself primarily by pain in the feet and hands, and even loss of feeling in these parts of the body. They result from disturbances and damage to the sensory and motor nerves. This causes further problems – the muscular system begins to fail, and pain and sudden seizures appear throughout the body. It is then necessary to introduce an appropriate drug that will restore the patient to a normal state.

The drug can not be used in the case of allergies to thioctic or alpha-lipoic acid. It also cannot be used in the case of kidney problems. The drug is intended for adults only.
