Cosmetic bag, pots, tools, cat supplies, detergents, laundry basket, medicines, hairdryer, hair bands and massage. What can you find in your bathroom?
Many people forget that the bathroom is not a warehouse for storing unnecessary things, and they leave everything that only comes to hand. However, experts draw attention to the fact that moisture can damage some items, and they lose their properties and even become dangerous to use. We decided to remind you which things should be thrown out of the bathroom first.
Medications
Rarely, but still you can find people who, with manic persistence, try to place medicines on the shelf in the bathroom. Doctors strongly recommend, firstly, to conduct an audit in the first-aid kit and throw out all drugs that have expired, and secondly, to get rid of highly specialized drugs that you definitely no longer need.
Hygiene products
Hygiene products should also be checked regularly and those you don’t use should be disposed of. And don’t forget to throw away any open boxes of soap, personal care products, and other products that not only get wet and look hysterical, but also become a breeding ground for bacteria.
Cosmetics
To begin with, it is necessary to regularly audit and get rid of cosmetic substances that have long expired. Open gels, scrubs, masks and other products that you have not used for a long time also need to be disposed of, and makeup brushes should be urgently rinsed and dried well.
Toothbrushes
Old toothbrushes don’t belong in your bathroom either! Dentists advise changing toothbrushes at least once every three months, because over time, various bacteria form on them, which, if they enter your body, can lead to negative consequences.
Towels
Towels, in principle, become damp after use, and storing them in the bathroom, where the high humidity, leads to the fact that various bacteria begin to develop on them, which can then enter your body. Therefore, allocate yourself one towel that you need to wash regularly, and store the rest on a shelf in your closet or dresser.
Razor
Razors, in principle, should be thrown away immediately after use (if we are talking about disposable copies), and even keeping a razor with a dull blade at home is generally the height of stupidity. Firstly, various microbes and parasites can accumulate on the blade, and secondly, you can get a so-called razor burn, which is also very unpleasant.
Jewelery and bijouterie
Why shouldn’t you keep jewelry in your bathroom? The answer seems to be obvious! Jewelry can darken, fade or even roll into the most difficult to reach places. Anything can happen. Therefore, it is better to allocate a separate box (or shelf) for them in the bedroom.
Perfumery
Even if you are hastily going somewhere in the morning and it is convenient for you to have everything close at hand, on one shelf in the bathroom, perfumers still advise not to leave perfume there. After all, exposure to high temperatures and humidity can destroy the molecular integrity of the aroma. In other words, the smell will quickly disappear and you will lose your favorite perfume.
Washcloths and hair ties
Doctors never tire of repeating that old washcloths should never be stored, because over time a lot of harmful bacteria accumulate on them and they become hazardous to health. Experts pay attention to the need to regularly change the washcloths, synthetic, for example, at least once every three to four months.
The same goes for hair ties. Not only are they scattered everywhere, making the room messy, but they also become a source of accumulation of various bacteria.
Books
Who would think to keep books in the bathroom? However, there are people who like to take a bath, add more foam and lie down for an hour in fragrant water with their favorite book. Needless to say, the pages deteriorate, turn yellow due to high humidity, and soon the work of art can be thrown away.
