Thermal hair protection reviews

Expectations: Most heat protection products are based on silicone, which covers the hair with a transparent film that protects against overheating and moisture loss. I have been using thermal protection products since the age of 15, because I regularly use a hairdryer and a hair straightener. The product that I started using a year ago and instantly fell in love is FLUIDISSIME Thermal Protection Spray from the DISCIPLINE collection by Kerastase. The manufacturer promised that the leave-in treatment reduces friction between hair, protects the fiber during styling and disciplines even the most frizzy and unruly hair.

Reality: at first I evaluate all products by aroma, and FLUIDISSIME completely satisfied me with its sweetish scent. Unlike many products, this thermal protection after drying the hair is absolutely not felt on the hair, but the curls are much softer and smoother. A bottle of 150 ml was enough for me for six months.

Rating: 9 out of 10. I take off the point for the price.

Expectations: I never used protective sprays during drying and styling: they repelled the pungent chemical odor and the subsequent effect of dirty hair after application. I usually use leave-in conditioners, natural or organic, and oils when I blow dry.

The main requirement for the product: adequate hydration, natural light odor and, in fact, protection. Ideally, the result should be soft, bouncy hair, shiny, not electrified and at the same time not oily.

Reality: Thermal 2 Twenty from Organic ColorSystems I didn’t understand at all. I applied the spray to the hair before drying, distributed it through the hair, dried my head – the hair did not shine, but at the same time it did not become electrified. The hair felt fine after use, but nothing out of the ordinary happened to it.

My favorite oil serum, Less is More, loved my hair, but somehow they didn’t take the heat protection spray seriously. Probably, this professional product really somehow protects the hair from overheating, but outwardly this does not manifest itself in any way. The manufacturer also promises easy combing and shine.

The comb really glides well through the hair, but I did not notice the shine. Plus, by the middle of the day, the tips began to look stale, which is very rare for me. The advantages are neutral odor and static electricity removal.

Rating: 5 out of 10. This product seemed useless to me. But for the fact that it smells good, removes static electricity and gives protection invisible to the eye, I give the spray five points.

Expectations: the manufacturer says that the spray has thermal protection, creates smooth strands, retaining the effect for three days, and is specially designed for use with straightening devices: an iron, a styler and others.

Contains the latest Keratin Protein Polymer Complex that coats every hair for XNUMX days after styling. Has the lightest texture, gives shine to hair, retains the flexibility of styling. Can be used on colored hair, permed hair.

Reality: I evenly distributed the spray on damp, clean hair (before that, it is better to dry it slightly with a towel), then dry it with a hairdryer, and then use the hair straightener. Everything turned out perfect, the tool was completely satisfied.

Convenient spray bottle. The spray is easily distributed through the hair in thin drops, even with inept use it is impossible to overdo it. Has a pleasant, delicate aroma. Doesn’t weigh hair down, it looks great all three days. Hair is beautiful, soft and shiny. If you straighten your hair without a spray, the difference will be clearly visible.

The fixation is very weak, the hair becomes a little stiffer, but by the end of the first day it becomes soft again. In wet weather it may be necessary to straighten it again with the iron. Rating: 10 from 10 for a comfortable spray and soft, shiny hair.

Expectations: the main thing is that the thermal protective agent does not harm.

Reality: I used the Schwarzkopf Got2b “Iron” as stated in the instructions: I applied the curls slightly dried with a towel from a distance of 20 centimeters, then dried them with a hairdryer and ran a styler along the strands. As a result, I got smooth hair. But there is one “but”: after using the lotion, I wash my head the same evening, because I feel a greasy film on the strands (oh, those silicones!). This fact, perhaps, would not surprise me if the manufacturer did not write on the label that “the effect after applying the Got2b Iron will last up to four days.”

Rating: 5 out of 10. The lotion seems to protect the hair, but at the same time it contains too much chemicals (including alcohol). I only keep this product in my home because I rarely use it.

Expectations: the spray should perform several functions – to detangle wet hair, add shine, while protecting and have the most important quality – the spray should not weigh down my thin hair and in no case should I need to wash my hair the next day. This is such a difficult range of tasks.

Reality: I liked that the dispenser at REDKEN 5th Avenue distributes the product well: it does not spray into one place, gluing the curls together (I had a similar experience), but evenly in a small but sufficient amount falls on the hair. Plus – a pleasant and unobtrusive smell.

According to the instructions, the spray is applied to dry hair – after all, it is to complete the styling. That is, by and large, it is suitable if you use an iron or curling iron after drying. I didn’t like this limitation right away. Well, should I first apply the hair dryer protection and then the curling iron? Therefore, the first time I applied the product to damp hair and dried it with a hairdryer. The styling looked very good, but the next day I woke up feeling that it was time to wash my hair.

The second experiment was to use it exactly as instructed – dry hair (on the day off I let it dry naturally), then an iron.

The nuance is that it is not clear how to assess whether the tool is working. So I sprinkled it, laid it down. The hair looked the same as it always did. And the next day there was no particularly magical effect. It remains to take the manufacturers’ word for it that although the effect is invisible to the eye, it is appreciated by my hair.

Rating: 7 from 10 for a narrow spectrum of action.
