On November 18, Vladimir Putin held a regular meeting with members of the Government on the situation with COVID-19. The governors of the regions, as well as representatives of the ministries involved in stabilizing the situation in the country, spoke at it.

Having listened to the statistics on the spread of the coronavirus, Vladimir Vladimirovich urged Government members to even more actively contribute to supporting the regions, and not just “scold” the governors for the current situation.

Deputy Prime Minister Golikova outlined where the situation with COVID-19 is especially difficult.

According to Tatyana Alekseevna, such regions are Chuvashia, Sevastopol, Oryol, Ivanovo, Penza, Samara, Omsk and Irkutsk regions, as well as Mordovia and Komi.

Despite the fact that the number of diseases is becoming more impressive every day, in general, the president considers the situation in the country to be controlled.

“We went through this in the spring. We have established working methods, vaccines appear. We have a completely different toolkit, not a single failure should be allowed, ”said Vladimir Vladimirovich.

However, according to the head of the country, one should not forget about the increase in the number of complications. Every day, the death rate due to coronavirus in the country is increasing, and this cannot but be alarming.

“I would ask my colleagues to focus on this closely. There is no need to try to embellish the situation, to pretend that everything is normal, ”Putin said.

All regions have the broadest powers to impose restrictions, and any slowness in this matter is simply unacceptable now, Vladimir Vladimirovich is sure.

Another important issue raised at the meeting is the support of the population and medical workers. Putin decided to increase access to free medicines for patients undergoing treatment at home. Physicians, on the other hand, should receive fair and timely additional payments, calculated according to the new schemes. In addition, now students who help in hospitals will also receive benefits. Students of medical schools are entitled to 10 thousand rubles a month, and medical schools – 7 thousand rubles a month.
