To advance resveratrol research, the University of Leicester held an international conference called Resveratrol 2012. Resveratrol is a chemical found in the skin of red grapes. It has been claimed for some time that it helps prevent many conditions, such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes, and many people take it in the form of a dietary supplement.

So far, however, it has not been proven that resveratrol it actually works for humans, and the way it works is unknown. Moreover, it has been shown to have the potential to interact with other medications. Therefore, scientists cannot determine who can take it and at what dose. Therefore, its use on a large scale cannot be recommended. Researchers at the University of Leicester have conducted studies to determine the doses in which resveratrol works anti-cancer.
