There is a vaccine for coronavirus: when the tests will begin

Trials of a vaccine against the ill-fated coronavirus are beginning at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute. The first person who voluntarily agreed to experience its effects on himself will receive the first dose in the next few hours.

The tests will be attended by 45 volunteers aged 18 to 55 years. Each volunteer will receive a different dose of the vaccine.

At the same time, scientists assure that the likelihood of contracting an infection among volunteers is close to zero, since it does not contain the virus.

“The goal of the trial is to make sure the vaccines do not have serious side effects, after which it will be possible to proceed with broader trials,” a source told Interfax.

According to the portal The Guardian, it is planned to test a full-fledged vaccine in humans in April 2020.

Insiders point out that the full introduction of the vaccine will take from a year to one and a half years.

According to the latest data, almost 19 people fell ill with COVID-170 coronavirus infection. About 000 thousand have recovered, and 77 have died.
