There is a shortage of willing rescuers to work in ambulances

– We have a problem with the staffing of paramedics and dispatchers in ambulances – Marcin Borowski from the Polish Professional Association of Medical Rescuers told Medexpress.

Marcin Borowski from the Polish Association of Medical Rescuers said that during the last meeting at the Ministry of Health, which took place on June 25, among others, on the problem with the staffing of paramedics and dispatchers in ambulances. – There are places where not all contracted ambulances leave. We want to find a good solution to encourage rescuers to work. Unfortunately, as long as the financing of the pre-hospital rescue system does not increase, it may turn out that fewer and fewer paramedics will work in ambulances – said Marcin Borowski.

Borowski explained that the main obstacle on the way to the implementation of the assumptions is finance. Last year, the rescuers demanded the implementation of the demands together with supplements. – Unfortunately, they were not implemented. During the last meeting at the Ministry of Health, we were presented with the assumptions for 2020. They will go to the Ministry of Finance. If they are approved, there will be a lot of progress. If this does not happen, we wonder what the Ministry of Health will propose to us – explained Borowski.

Dog ambulance? This is not a joke. Poles frequently lie to dispatchers
