– Unfortunately, this is a physiological feature of the body. When a person is seated, the skin also crumples, which is the norm. But in some people, the turgor (elasticity and firmness) of the skin is impaired, especially after 30 years. Physiological folds are more difficult to take their original position. This has no consequences for the body, does not indicate any serious diseases. If this cosmetic defect brings discomfort, you can try to fight it. 

How to independently determine if your skin turgor is normal?

 With two fingers, pinch the skin on the back of your hand and release after a couple of seconds.

If the skin quickly returned to its original state, everything is in order.

If the crease and fingerprints are slowly fading away, help is needed.

After 25 years, the production of the required amount of collagen and hyaluronic acid decreases. The skin begins to lose its elasticity.

How to deal with it

First, you need to be examined by doctors and take blood tests to determine whether all trace elements and vitamins are contained in the norm.

  1. Include foods that contain collagen in your diet. Try to stay in the sun less and visit the solarium less often. 

  2. Drink enough clean water to fill the cells in your body.

  3. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption and smoking, these habits have the most negative effect on the skin.

  5. Often the presence of such folds signals a curvature of the spine. It is recommended to visit an orthopedist to rule out pathology.
