The effectiveness of exercise therapy depends on the stage of scoliosis. Stages 1 and 2 can be treated quite successfully, but only with regular and persistent practice. There are known cases of complete cure after six months of exercise therapy. With 3 and 4 stages of the disease, more effective and serious methods of treatment are needed.

Exercise goals:

  • correction and correction of incorrect posture;
  • restoration of the muscle corset;
  • normalization of blood circulation and respiration;
  • activation of the correct work of the back muscles;
  • elimination of unnecessary stress on the spine.

With regular exercise, the patient notes an improvement in the general physical condition.

Classes should be held in a well-ventilated area. It’s good if there is a mirror in the room, this will help control the correctness of the exercises. The duration of gymnastics for junior schoolchildren should not exceed ¼ hours. If the little person feels pain, fatigue or dizziness, classes should be stopped immediately.

A set of exercises for good posture

The doctor should choose the types of activities individually for each baby. The exercises are performed in different positions: sitting, standing on your feet or all fours, lying on your back or stomach.

Effective options:

  • Lie on your stomach and stretch your arms and legs for 5 minutes.
  • In the prone position, fold your hands with the lock behind the neck and raise your head.
  • Lie on your back, stretch your arms along the body and perform leg movements that imitate cycling.
  • In the supine position, alternately pull each knee to the chest.
  • Get on all fours and slowly round your back, then bend over.
  • In a standing position on all fours, simultaneously raise your right leg and left arm. Repeat with the other arm and leg.
  • Pull up on toes, raising your arms up.
  • Stand near the wall and squat. Linger a little and straighten up.

If the student gets tired quickly, you can take small breaks. In the initial stages of scoliosis, it is useful to make the student wear a book on his head.

The best results can be achieved by combining exercise therapy with massage and physiotherapy.
