The couple tried to conceive naturally for two years, but to no avail. And suddenly something happened that can only be called a miracle: the chance to give birth to identical twin triplets is 1 in 200 million.
Doctors say that if you cannot get pregnant after a year and a half of attempts, then you need to contact a gynecologist, and then, most likely, a reproductologist. Therefore, Stephanie was already in the mood for a trip to the doctor: the girl turned 27, she did not want to wait any longer. She and her fiancé, 30-year-old Michael, already had one child, a son named Zach. Stephanie dreamed of giving birth to a brother or sister, but all that she and Michael achieved was two miscarriages. In addition, Stephanie was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, and the hope of conceiving naturally was dwindling before our eyes.
Michael suggested trying the IVF protocol.
“I really wanted another child,” the man admitted.
But before going to the doctor, Stephanie got a surprise. Michael proposed to her and invited her on a romantic trip – he wanted to pamper his beloved before the upcoming grueling treatment.
“I was betrothed to the love of my life and we went on vacation to Mallorca. Three weeks after returning, we had to start the IVF protocol, ”says Stephanie.
But upon returning home, the bride and groom were in for an even bigger surprise. It turned out that Stephanie had magically become pregnant. Moreover, judging by the timing, it happened the day after Michael proposed to her.
“You have no idea how I felt. I had to go to the doctor tomorrow to start the first round of IVF, and then it turned out that I didn’t need to do this! After two years of trying, I suddenly got pregnant myself! ” Stephanie still doesn’t seem to believe in her happiness.
But the surprises did not end there. At the first screening, it turned out that Steph was expecting one child, at the second, the ultrasound showed two, and at the third, done a week later, it turned out that the girl would have not one baby, but three at once. Moreover, identical ones are an incredible rarity, this happens in one case out of 200 million.
“It was the best feeling in the world. After two miscarriages, I suddenly wore three lives under my heart at once, ”admits Stephanie.
“She always dreamed of a family like in the movie Home Alone,” laughs Michael. “I wanted at least one more child, but the news of the triplets came as a shock to me.”
However, the future dad with many children recovered from the shock very quickly. After all, it was necessary to prepare for the fact that their family would very soon double in size. As soon as Stephanie went to the hospital, Michael moved all the things to a new house – a bigger one. He also bought a huge van so that there was enough room for the whole family, bought a dowry for newborns – all in triple copies. Three beautiful girls were born – Ollie-Anna, Isabella and Brianna.
“Now it takes us all day to feed the babies, change clothes, play, and put them to bed. It’s a wonderful routine. She practically leaves us no time for each other, but we are incredibly happy, ”says Michael.
“Zach loves his little sisters,” adds Stephanie. – Yes, our family is now by no means small. But this is an ideal family. “
