Actress Laura Reznikova turned her home into a warm country. Spanish motives rule in the kitchen, antique columns and Indian bark beetle have settled in the bathroom.

When my husband and son and I began to look after the apartment, the choice fell on Lomonosovsky Prospekt. We have been living here for five years now and are happy. I like to relax in warm places. There is always a lack of sun in Moscow. I am a cold person. Therefore, whenever I find myself in the East, I want to take a piece of this warmth with me. I bought up albums with photographs of the best hotels in the East, the most beautiful castles. I did not pretend to create some kind of architectural heritage at home, but snow-white arches in the openings, beams under a dark tree on the ceiling – we saw all this in those very albums and on excursions.

My favorite place in the apartment is on the sofa in the living room. There is a laptop lying around. Here I teach roles, watch episodes

Sometimes creative ideas bumped into technical issues. I really love how houses in India look. They are covered with charming, peeling plaster from time to time. I wanted to create this effect in the bathroom. But not only could I not find something similar in stores, I could not even explain what I was looking for, and even that this something was waterproof. How to convey that there are cracks on the walls, patina on Indian houses, and that I want just such an atmosphere? It was then that the designer came to the rescue. It turned out that my dream is called very funny – bark beetle! This is a technique for applying plaster to walls. It turns out a pattern, as if eaten away by this bug.

Gulchatay and chocolate floors

The floors in the apartment are made of dark wood. It seems to me very appetizing, apparently, the love for dark chocolate affects. The kitchen is designed in similar colors. But the tiles on it are a cross between oriental and Spanish motives. We found it after long trips to various shops, including very expensive ones. As a result, they bought it on the regular construction market at an average price. I wanted to hang a blue glass lamp to match the tiles in the kitchen. Similar ones are found in Turkey at every turn, but not in Moscow. Until we found our Gulchatay, as I call a lamp with glass drops, I could not calm down. It was all wrong. And it has the right shade of blue, which is friendly with both tiles and a vase for nuts.

The sofa was bought cat-resistant

Three large mirrors were hung in the dining room combined with the living room. When you sit on the couch and look at the mirrored hallway, things move slower in the duplicate image! From a scientific point of view, this is, of course, impossible, but this feature was noticed by both the guests and me. It seems to me that mirrors are things with a certain power, it is no accident that so many signs are associated with them. And from a practical point of view, they increase the space. What is my pride in the living room is the sofa. It is made of a special kind of leather that is resistant! The fact is that our adorable cat Sirius tears down all the furniture that only exists.

There is one absolutely crazy corner in this room – an office in a small niche. When I was fond of fortune-telling, I planned to lay out the cards here. But then this place turned into a library.

On the bedroom floor is a painting brought from Bali. She is wearing a multi-armed girl. My friend says that it is me, because I am also multi-armed: I write scripts, I act in films, I dance.

We have a lot of light at home: from small sconces to large chandeliers. But no matter how many bulbs you buy, you still have to run twice. None of them stand up and burn out all the time. Therefore, some of the lamps do not work. When I went to an esoteric school, they told me that light bulbs behave this way in spontaneous magicians – people who have never learned magic, but have a certain energy. Apparently, my abilities are only enough to put out the lights. And also batteries. Several years ago I worked as a presenter at RBC, and in the sensor, which was part of the microphone, the chargers were constantly flying. My batteries were changed three to four times more often than other presenters. Funny magic, isn’t it?

Sometimes you want to invite a feng shui specialist to look at everything and diagnose the apartment. It’s funny to say, but, to be honest, I’m even afraid of this diagnosis.
