Vaccinations against COVID-19. How many Poles want to get vaccinated?

Currently, only 32 percent. people who are not yet vaccinated say they want to take advantage of the COVID-19 vaccine (‘definitely yes’ and ‘probably yes’ responses combined), down 3 percentage points from the previous measurement.

The willingness to vaccinate in the unvaccinated group is much lower. The declared intention to use the vaccine has been gradually decreasing since the beginning of January, when 40 percent. unvaccinated people indicated that they were going to be vaccinated. At the same time, the percentage of responses rejecting the idea of using the COVID-19 vaccine is systematically growing. Currently, as much as 47 percent. respondents in this group declare that they are not going to be vaccinated.

The intention to get vaccinated is the lowest in the youngest age group of 18-24 years, in which only 21 percent. of the unvaccinated declare to use the vaccine. The highest result is observed in the 45-54 age group, where 45 percent. of respondents are still planning to vaccinate against the coronavirus.

Coronavirus: What are the reasons for rejecting the vaccine?

Lack of certainty whether the vaccine is safe, fear of possible side effects and the belief that the vaccine was developed too quickly are still the three main reasons for reluctance to vaccinate among people who do not intend to get vaccinated. These are still the same reasons most often mentioned from the very beginning of the measurements. The fourth place comes with distrust of big pharmaceutical companies, and the fifth place is discouraged from vaccination by the uncertainty of how many times one needs to be vaccinated for the vaccine to be effective.
