Our Country’s invasion of Ukraine continues. Civilian facilities, including hospitals, are also under attack. In order to protect patients, the wards were moved to cellars-shelters. This is where Ukrainian children are born. The pictures below present a picture of what is happening in hospitals in Ukraine, the conditions under which childbirth is received and the patients are treated.
Since the beginning of Our Country’s attack on Ukraine, the World Physicians’ Association (WMA) and the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) have called for compliance with the international principle of medical neutrality and human rights. “Preventing doctors from providing medical care to patients or imposing sanctions on them violates international law contained in the conventions to which the Federation has committed itself,” reminds the WMA in a statement published on February 25.

“We condemn any act of aggression that prevents doctors and health workers from fulfilling their duty of care in order to protect life. European doctors are in solidarity with their Ukrainian colleagues who are currently working in the center of the conflict and are calling for a swift end to all military aggression, ”said Dr. Christiaan Keijzer, chairman of the Standing Committee of European Doctors.
Patients of hospitals in Ukraine are currently living in such conditions.
