10-year-old schoolboy William Woods from the Irish county of Cavan won a thousand euros in a local credit union drawing and bought calves with all the money.
Initially, the boy, after consulting with his parents, wanted to save his winnings for college, but then he decided that he wanted to invest in a profitable business – buying livestock.
William explained that he was going to raise calves in order to sell them later and acquire a larger herd. “I am proud that I bought them … I like to check how they are there, to see that they eat grass and are healthy,” said the student.
He added that working with animals was more difficult than he thought, but he is still pleased with his decision. “It’s really fun,” the boy assured.
In a pandemic (there was a strict quarantine in the country), the child began to communicate much less with friends. “And now I’m playing with the calves. I laugh with them in the field, they are funny,” said William.
The boy’s mother is glad that her son has followed in the footsteps of his farmer father. “He always had this entrepreneurial streak. It’s a good, healthy pastime for him. It will also teach him the value of money,” she stressed.

The gamer’s reward was a month of living … with an adult film actress. The young man assured: with his new acquaintance, he would go exclusively to museums and cinema. The girl herself told the media that she liked the winning boy, and the age difference did not bother her at all. The boy’s mother was unhappy with this arrangement. In her opinion, the meeting with the actress will finally discourage her son’s desire to study – he already spends too much time on computer games.
