The baby’s mom ran out of formula and no one knew how to calm the hungry baby’s tantrum.
This flight was very special for 24-year-old Patricia Organo. The girl works as a flight attendant and spends half her life in the sky. But this situation became special for her. At 5 o’clock in the morning, when the plane had just taken off and it was still far from landing (it was a flight from England to the Philippines), hysterical children’s crying was heard in the cabin. The baby was sobbing in the arms of its mother, one of the passengers.
Patricia came over to ask if she could help. It turned out that the baby’s mother had run out of infant formula. They had to sit at the airport from 9 o’clock in the evening, there was nowhere to replenish the stocks of formula for feeding. The child was simply very hungry.
“I perfectly understood how the mother of this child felt. I have a nine-month-old daughter myself. This helplessness, when you realize that there is nothing you can do to help your baby, is just awful. There was no infant formula on board, there was only one way out, ”said Patricia.
You understood everything correctly – the stewardess decided to breastfeed the baby, because everything was in order with her milk.
“As soon as the girl took a breast and smacked her lips, there was incredible relief in her mother’s eyes,” says Patricia. “And I was just happy that I could help this woman and her daughter.”
After eating, the baby immediately fell asleep. Patricia escorted her mother back to her place and returned to her usual duties. And the passenger with the child never ceased to thank the stewardess for her help: after all, what would she do if this milk fairy were not on board!
“This has never happened to me. But I’m glad I could help, ”the stewardess smiles.
