The skin during pregnancy

The advice of the dermatologist

Pregnancy is a period of physical transformation, of hormonal disruption of a magnitude close to the last great hormonal change that a woman has known: puberty. But unlike puberty, everything goes really fast. It is a destabilizing period, a difficult physical ordeal for the body which is similar to a daily marathon and you and those around you must therefore take care of yourself:

– Limit chores and tiring acts, get help. Relax, enjoy this unique moment and… rest. The nights will be choppy in a few months!

– Do not hesitate to ask your doctor for help if your weight curve slips. Do not start a diet under any circumstances, but follow your doctor’s instructions to limit weight gain (normal and generally considered to be up to 12-13 kg).

– In the event of a skin problem, consult your doctor or a dermatologist and do not self-medicate: some creams are contraindicated during pregnancy.

– Do not forget to show your moles because any modification of mole during pregnancy must be taken seriously (30% of melanomas in women appear during pregnancy).
