Causes and signs of seal failure
For high-quality cooling of products, warm air should not enter the refrigerating chamber, therefore a rubber seal is provided on the door. What signs indicate problems with it:

Check if it fits snugly against the door. If there are no visible cracks, then you need to look for small gaps. Apply the probe method:
- Take a thin sheet of paper.
- Press it with the door, and then try to pull it out.
- Check all around.
If the sheet is pulled out with difficulty, then the rubber is performing its function normally. If the sheet falls out and pulls out easily, then there is a problem.
The sealing gum could become clogged with debris and crumbs, then it needs to be cleaned. To do this, take a sponge with a drop of detergent and ammonia and wipe the seal around the perimeter.
To restore the shape of the gum, pour a thin stream of boiling water over it. Flatten the seal while it is still hot.
If the seal cannot be restored, it is cracked and has lost its expiration date, it must be replaced. To do this, select the exact analogue of the old gum. It is important that it matches the model of your refrigerator: an inappropriate seal may not fit into place or will not last long.
Self replacement
Do this:
- Remove the door from the hinges and lay it on a flat surface.
- Remove the old rubber by making cuts at the joints.
- To pull the seal out of the seat, you can use tweezers.
- Install new rubber, glue it at the joints.
Now you can use the refrigerator again. Do not forget to clean the seal in time to avoid breakage.

If the plastic inside the wall is not too damaged, it can be restored. To do this, use a spatula or silicone sealant. The wall surface is preliminarily degreased, then a sealant is applied. You can start the technique after the silicone has completely dried.
