Coronavirus in Poland: there is an increase in infections
On Monday, Minister Niedzielski warned on Twitter about the expected increase in the number of SARS-CoV-2 infections.
«Stabilization of infections is a thing of the past. Compared to the previous week, we already have a 13% increase in the average number of infections. In the following weeks we will observe further increases, as evidenced by the change in the reproduction rate of the virus (R), which has again reached the value of 1 »wrote the minister.
The R indicator shows how many people can statistically be infected by one infected. If the R index is above 1, it means that one patient infects more than one person. When the virus reproduction rate falls below 1, the epidemic is dying out.
Recall that according to the latest data that the Ministry of Health provided to Medonet, the R index on June 30 was 0,73.
