The proportions of semolina
Reading time – 3 minutes.
Semolina porridge, prepared on the basis of milk, is a dish familiar to everyone from childhood. Some people like it in a liquid form, others prefer a thicker one. Knowing the correct proportions of milk and cereals, it is easy to cook porridge of the desired thickness.
To prepare semolina per serving, you will need:
- 30 grams of semolina (about 2 tablespoons) and 0,3 liters of milk (1 full glass). The finished porridge will have a medium density;
- 23 grams (1,5 tablespoons) semolina and 0,3 liters of milk – for porridge with a liquid consistency.
The same ratio of liquid to cereal remains if water is used to cook semolina. Sugar and salt are added to the dish – their amount varies as desired. It is permissible to replace sugar with honey – this will turn out to be a more useful option. Already cooked porridge is served on the table, seasoned with a slice of butter.
