The power of the Dior name

Christian Dior has always treated the choice of names for Dior cosmetics with special reverence.

Not every brand pays as much attention to the names of funds as Dior. This reverent attitude was laid by Christian Dior himself. Wanting to draw maximum attention to his first collection, he decided to give the perfume, which he released at the same time, his name. And I didn’t guess. Since then, the names of Dior products have never gone unnoticed. Some of them read the name of Monsieur Dior himself (Diorissimo, Diorella, Dior Addict, Diorific, DiorSnow and so on). And for others, the most vivid and capacious images were chosen. Poison, J’Adore, Prestige, Dune, Dolce Vita – these words are remembered even by those who do not speak foreign languages. An equally strong name was given to the anti-aging skin care line – Capture (“capture”, fr.). The purpose of Capture really was to capture, hold, “captivate” youth. And they have been able to prove it time and time again. Throughout the 27 years of the existence of this line, its composition has been replenished with advanced components and technologies. So, for the first time in cosmetology, liposomes were included in the Capture sample of 1986. They allowed the active ingredients to penetrate the skin’s protective barrier. And in the late 1990s, they were replaced by a more advanced Bi-Skin complex. Like a kind of plaster, it smoothes the surface of the skin and gradually releases anti-aging components. Since 2006, Capture has included an extract from the Madagascar longoza flower. And now a fundamentally new tool, DreamSkin, has appeared in the line. Its basis was another discovery by Dior – an extract of the African opilium plant. Capture Totale DreamSkin reduces redness, pigment spots, adds radiance, tightens pores, protects against aging … This justifies the meaning of its name: “get the skin of your dreams.”

DreamSkin instantly changes the appearance of the skin and gradually improves its condition from within. The novelty can be used both independently and in combination with the usual skin care products.
