Eight of them have recovered, two are in serious condition, two have died, and four are under treatment.
After the onset of symptoms, Bill found himself in isolation. On March 11, he tested positive for COVID-19. The man was very lucky because his COVID-19 symptoms were moderate – he had no breathing problems. Bill was treated at the veteran’s home where he lives on a daily basis. Nice care provided there.
On Wednesday, 25 days after he was isolated, the man celebrated his birthday. The family decided to organize the party in compliance with all safety rules. Everyone tried to keep a safe distance, they wore protective masks. There were also cakes and balloons.
Elderly people at risk of severe COVID-19 symptoms
Bill Lapschies was very lucky. The data collected on the basis of deaths due to COVID-19 so far show that the largest number of deaths is recorded in the age group over 80 years.
