Its history began in 1970, when perfumer Henri Robert created a fragrance for the most amazing woman in Paris – Coco Chanel. Why she called him “# 19”, Coco once told a friend: “In honor of my date of birth, August 19th. By the sign of the zodiac I am a lion. And I have a lion character: in order to defend myself from attacks, I release my claws. But believe me, it’s easier to get someone to pounce on me than to attack yourself. ” A fragrance with a distinct iris sound, has become the embodiment of nobility, like Coco herself.
He was anxiously loved by millions of women. And when the current perfumer of the Chanel house, Jacques Polge, decided to give the fragrance a new sound, he managed to preserve its uniqueness by adding white musk to the iris. Once upon a time, these ingredients were indispensable when creating powder. In perfumery, they were called powdery notes, and the aromas based on them have acquired a sound familiar from childhood for us. Maybe that’s why # 19 Poudre is so compelling. Or maybe because it contains a whole bunch of the most expensive and unique flowers, thanks to which the aroma sounds fresh, bold, but at the same time very elegant.
For those who want to become the first owner of the new Chanel No.19 Poudre fragrance, only two Espace Parfums Chanel stores in Moscow – TSUM and Ile de Baute Maroseyka – have organized an appointment for the fragrance even before the sale starts. Sales in these stores will begin on August 1st.
