How she became a model. Becoming a model has been my dream since childhood. I remember that my aunt and her husband came to visit us in the village of Artie, Sverdlovsk region, from Yekaterinburg, brought fashion magazines to my mother on order, we did not sell such magazines. I pasted magazine clippings, posters with stars on the walls, looked at beautiful girls in chic outfits and dreamed of being in their place. It seemed so incredible! One day my uncle said to my mother: “A model is growing.” It was unexpected and so nice!

But dreams do come true! During my career, I have worked in America, Italy, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia. I was lucky to appear on the covers of Vogue, NUYOU, Gioia, The Cover Collection Hair Trends, Stolnik, In Magazine, Sweet Home. A significant achievement is participation in the world Fashion Week in Milan, Paris, New York, Malaysia, Tokyo, Hong Kong.

Recently in Paris we went to a show in very beautiful long dresses. One of the models got entangled in it and literally jumped on the catwalk, the guests had to help her. I was closing the show, I was wearing a very heavy dress with a huge train. When I took my first steps, I realized that it was impossible to walk in it! The heels clung to the inside of the train, and it seemed to me that a disaster was about to happen. I told myself: “Don’t fall, just don’t fall,” but I kept my face calm and cold. Of course, she coped and did not fall.

What you have to limit yourself to. I really love to cook and eat deliciously, so I do not deny myself any food, the main thing is to eat on time, correctly and in moderation. And with a prerequisite – playing sports.

Once I had to lose weight to absolutely abnormal parameters for me: 86 cm at the hips for my height and constitution is almost impossible thinness. But, nevertheless, I have fulfilled this requirement.

What you sacrifice for the sake of a modeling career is time for family and friends. If you drive non-stop in different cities, you are rarely at home, instead of communication you receive only SMS like: “How are you?”, “Where are you?”, “I hope you are doing well!”. Friends were often offended: you make an appointment and cancel it at the last moment, because you urgently need to fly away. I missed all the most important events in the life of my family and friends!

With a loved one, I usually do not celebrate birthdays and other holidays – for me the word “holiday” has already lost its value. But I am very lucky – my man fully supports me. If I say that tomorrow I am leaving for three months, he will answer with sadness in his eyes: “Of course, if you are happy – go ahead, I will wait for you at least all my life!”. I am a creative person, and my mood changes like the wind, I need a constant change of scenery, so it can be difficult with me. My beloved is just great – not everyone can live with a model!

What will never go for the sake of the podium. I really do not like to dye my hair and short haircuts – this is what I always refuse. She did not allow herself to be dyed red for the show in Paris, in Germany she did not allow her hair to be lightened.

Is there a friendship in the modeling business. Most of my model friends are scattered all over the cities of the world, which is great: wherever I go, there is someone to see. My best friend is from Europe, we met in Milan at Fashion Week many years ago, since then we go on vacation together, we come to visit, we try to meet as often as possible.

How she became a model. Since childhood, almost every girl dreams of becoming a model, actress or singer. I’m not an exception! Having tried everything, I decided to stop at the first one – to link my career with the modeling business. And my acquaintance with the agency happened by chance: in one of the shopping centers I was given a leaflet with an invitation to the casting. I came to the agency, then it all started – shooting for magazines, screenings, the first foreign contract.

After several years of successful work abroad (and I have worked in almost all countries except America) I decided to take a short break. However, she is now back! I have already managed to shoot for several major magazines and get a contract in a Milan agency!

What you have to limit yourself to. Thanks to my natural thinness and successful constitution, I do not have to limit myself in anything.

What will never go for the sake of the podium. I will never have a haircut! Although I’ll think about it for a couple of million dollars (laughs).

How she became a model. When I was very young, my mother wanted to send me to study at a modeling school – even then I was tall and had a suitable physique. But dad was against it. When I turned 14, my school friends and I dropped into a bridal salon where visitors could try on dresses. Of course, I liked it, and I wanted to try myself in the modeling business. But then my mother began to object – they say, why is this necessary? But the dream remained, and after a while I met the director of a modeling agency, who invited me to study with them. I still remember my first job – a show at Fashion Week in Yekaterinburg.

For 5 years I have been in the modeling business, at the same time I managed to graduate from school and go to university. During this time she worked in Taiwan, China, Japan, Thailand, starred for many catalogs and magazines.

Once in Thailand I participated in a show: there were huge hairstyles and even heavier and more massive dresses. It was very hard to walk in such a dress, go up and down the podium, it was impossible even to hold it! And at the edges of the podium there were guards – to catch if any of the models began to fall!

What you have to limit yourself to. I do not limit myself in anything, only in sweets.

What will never go for the sake of the podium. At first I wanted to answer that I would do anything! But suddenly she began to doubt: “And if they tell me to act bald?” Of course, if the agency permits, and the work will be adequately paid, then perhaps I would agree.

How she became a model. I wanted this since childhood. But the fact that I lived in a small town did not give me the opportunity to do the modeling business before. However, already at the age of 14 I knew exactly which agency in Yekaterinburg I wanted to get into.

I have been modeling for a very short time, but in my city I managed to appear on the covers of two magazines. I am now in Seoul on my first trip. I immediately fell in love with this city and loved my job even more. During the month of my stay in Korea, she appeared on the covers of several magazines. My dream and goal is probably, like every model, to shoot for VOGUE, Bazaar, Elle.

What you have to limit yourself to. You have to jump and smile for 10 hours in a row in shoes two sizes smaller than yours, get up at 5 am and sleep 3 hours a day. But this is a joy to me: I enjoy this work – new people, new emotions, travel. You just don’t have time to think about fatigue!

If you start modeling seriously, then you need to be prepared for the fact that this business will take up all your time. And from this the conclusion follows: relationships, personal life, communication with friends, favorite hobbies suffer. You also have to limit yourself to your favorite food – sweet and starchy foods.

What will never go for the sake of the podium. Many models reason about this in the following way: “You work as a model, which means that you must be ready to do whatever the client requires, this is your job.” Many modeling shows, such as Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model, promote the same idea. Some of the shooting there border on mockery of the psyche and health: the models were hung upside down, frozen on the street, filmed with wild animals. And if a girl refused to take part in the shooting, then in 90% of cases she was kicked out. Personally, I strongly disagree with this approach. The fact of the matter is that the models HAVE the right to vote: you can tell whether you are ready to dye your hair or be removed naked. But we must not forget that this is a cruel business: if you refuse, then another model will immediately take your place.

Is there a friendship in the modeling business. I used to hear a lot about the fact that there is no friendship in modeling, only competition. But some of the model girls we worked with became good friends to me. The problem is that almost all of them are from other countries and cities. And when the contract ends and the time comes to leave, it becomes sad that you have to leave!

How she became a model. I got into this business by chance, like all girls who do not dream of a modeling career since childhood: I was invited to a casting at a modeling agency – and it started spinning. I am proud that I was lucky enough to work abroad – in India, as well as to appear for magazines, catalogs.

Once in Delhi, at a casting, I had to walk the catwalk, and my strap on one of my shoes broke. As a result, I had to go barefoot!

What you have to limit yourself to. I can’t say that I have to deny myself something. There was one case: I had just arrived from a vacation by the sea, and I had to intensively wash off my tan for a trip abroad under a contract. After that I try not to sunbathe much.

What will never go for the sake of the podium. I won’t cut my hair too short, I won’t put on weight on purpose – and such requirements are sometimes put forward!

What you have to limit yourself to. Despite the seeming carelessness, the modeling business is a serious occupation, where the interests of a huge number of people depend on your minute appearance on the catwalk – from the designer to the director of the show. Naturally, they have reason to worry about the presentation of the collection, which took, say, six months to create. And your task is not to let all these people down in one minute. Therefore, you make corresponding demands on yourself. And restrictions are everyone’s personal business.

There is always a risk of force majeure. It is important for a model to be able to figure out in time in any situation. Then neither small shoes for two sizes, nor a long train are terrible. What other options can there be when so many people are looking at you?

What will never go for the sake of the podium. There have never been any particularly radical proposals, but, in my opinion, it all comes down to common sense and trust between the model and the agency. If it seems to them that with short hair she will work better, it is, of course, her right – to agree to a change of image or not. But more often than not, the truth is on the side of the agency – they are still professionals.

Is there a friendship in the modeling business. How not to be friends? If you are going to work in an unfamiliar country on the other side of the world, who else will support you, with whom will you spend most of your free time? Models who have come to work in the same agency usually live together, share with each other all the joys and sorrows, and food … It is especially nice if someone from Russia happens to be with you. There are girls who behave arrogantly, try to appear the best. Most often, these are recently engaged in the modeling business. What can we compete with? We’ve all been taken away. If they didn’t take it today, they’ll take it tomorrow.

Is there a friendship in the modeling business. My belief is that there is no friendship in the modeling business. There are good people. I met girls who could become real friends to me, but I understood that this would not lead to anything – after all, sooner or later we would disperse to different countries and cities.

What you have to limit yourself to. Personally, I limit myself a little, only sometimes I have to sacrifice my plans, skip school.

Once at the presentation they gave me tight shoes, besides it was very stuffy, and I was dressed warmly. At some point, I felt that I was about to faint. I decided that it was better to leave the podium effectively than to fall unconscious and shock the audience. By the way, everyone decided that it was intended.

What will never go for the sake of the podium. I will not change my hair color, cut my hair short and participate in nude photography.

Is there a friendship in the modeling business. Yes, I believe that friendship exists, we communicate with many girls, help each other, and relax together.

How she became a model. I always liked taking pictures, posing, but I did it for fun and for the portfolios of my friends-photographers. Although many said: “Irina! You have to be a model! “

Several months ago I moved from my native Tomsk to Yekaterinburg. Almost immediately after the move – in September – they wrote to me from the agency, invited to the casting. Only a couple of months have passed since our first acquaintance, and now I am already on my first business trip abroad – in Shanghai. Of course, the modeling business in Russia and abroad is two completely different stories: there are more castings, events, a different attitude to the model’s work, higher fees.

What you have to limit yourself to. Of course, I do not eat only sweets and junk food, but I can afford it in moderation. And there is enough time for loved ones and hobbies, too, if desired.

What will never go for the sake of the podium. What was not there: short hair, painted in blue. As for the weight – if I still lose weight, then it will completely blow away. So nothing scares me unless it is a tattoo on the forehead or something beyond the bounds of decency.

How she became a model. As a teenager, I watched the famous Americain next top model show. I liked the way ordinary girls are transformed into models. And then I thought – maybe I should try? Shows, photo shoots, travel, luxurious life … Six months have passed since this desire arose, and I received an invitation to casting at a modeling agency in Yekaterinburg! Then I lived in Novy Urengoy, but a year later I moved to the Urals. Now I am preparing for my first overseas trip to India.

I try to avoid various funny, unforeseen situations. But at Fashion Week in Yekaterinburg, during my fashion show, tears flowed! It seems from happiness, or maybe something got into the eye.

What you have to limit yourself to. I don’t eat sweets and buns, but sometimes I indulge myself with them. There is always time for personal life, if there is a desire.

What will never go for the sake of the podium. For the sake of work, I would not go to the “tunnels” in the ears – it’s awful. I consider everything else normal, because the model’s job is to transform and change images all the time.

What you have to limit yourself to. Now I do not have exhausting sports training, so much energy does not go away, so nutrition is light and correct. The only noticeable limitation is the lack of chocolate and desserts.

How she became a model. When I was 11 years old, I started to get involved in creativity. Such programs as “Stylistics”, Star book and, of course, American next top model immersed me in the modeling world with incredible speed. As I got older, I began to think about it more seriously. My move to Yekaterinburg fulfilled my dream of becoming a model.

What you have to limit yourself to. You have to limit yourself only in nutrition, but I believe that an ordinary girl should always eat right. After all, having a good figure and skin is very important not only for the model!
