The regulation on reimbursement of insulin pumps was sent to the Government Legislation Center on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health informed on Tuesday. After editorial amendments are introduced and signed by the Minister of Health, it will enter into force within 30 days.
After the entry into force of the regulation, insulin pumps and their accessories for people up to 26 years of age will be reimbursed. Until now, the National Health Fund has financed the purchase of pumps only for patients up to 18 years of age.
The regulation should enter into force soon – Deputy Minister of Health Jakub Szulc told PAP on Tuesday. RCL has seven days to introduce any amendments, then the regulation will only require the signature of Minister of Health Ewa Kopacz and will enter into force after the end of the 30-day vacatio legis – he added.
