History of the origin of the name Victoria
Victoria is a feminine name, derived from the Latin victoria – “victory”.

Meaning and characteristics of the name Oksana
Victoria’s Angel Day – March 12, September 12, December 23.
So who is Victoria? How did her name end up on the Christian church calendar?
The average person associates Victoria with the Roman goddess of victory Victoria (in ancient Greek mythology – Nike). Undoubtedly, the mythological component occupies a leading place in the interpretation of the name, but in the Christian tradition it is customary to talk about other historical figures who bore this name – several Victoria martyrs.
Thus, in the history of Christianity, at least four women are known to bear this name: Victoria of Ephesus, Victoria of Thessalonica, Victoria of Nicomedia, Victoria of Culuz.
There is very little information about the first three: there is no specific data about their life and martyrdom. It can be assumed that they suffered during the first persecution of Christians during the reign of the emperors Decius and Diocletian.
More information has been preserved about Victoria of Kuluzskaya. It is known that she suffered from the Arians for the faith of Christ in North Africa. It is believed that Victoria was a young woman who joined the Christians, for which she paid the price: she was captured and brutally tortured by the persecutors of the church. The husband tried to convince Victoria to renounce her faith in Christ, at least for the sake of the children, but she categorically refused. The torturers left her alone only when they thought she was dead. However, Victoria survived and was miraculously healed from all the wounds inflicted on her.
Character traits of the name Victoria
Of course, a person’s name influences the fate of its bearer: it shapes the attitude towards oneself and others, and also, perhaps, lays down the basic character traits, because we often attribute the same positive or negative traits to people with the same names.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Victoria is primarily perceived as a winner, as a very purposeful, stubborn and even headstrong person.
It is believed that little Vika is very indecisive and inconspicuous as a child: she avoids noisy children’s companies and does not like outdoor games. She does not strive to learn, at times she even withdraws into her cozy world, not letting anyone in, except, perhaps, her parents. This is a calm, slightly slow, phlegmatic girl, prone to periodic alienation, the reasons for which even the closest people sometimes cannot explain.
Over time, the situation changes dramatically: Victoria begins to realize that she can influence others, so she pays special attention to self-affirmation. She takes care of herself, develops confidence and assertiveness, but the inner feeling of insecurity will not leave Victoria for a long time, and therefore, in order not to detect it in public, the woman begins to behave demonstratively defiantly.
Victoria is a rebel in life, so she will definitely find some hobby where she will deny everything to everyone.
At Victoria’s school, there aren’t enough stars in the sky; she’s kind of an average student who, in principle, can do everything, but doesn’t show much desire for learning. Over time, Victoria sets priorities, purposefully fills gaps in her education in order to do the business that she has chosen for herself.
Victoria often gives the impression of being assertive, stubborn, even cunning, but at heart she still remains a little insecure and shy.
Victoria is a rational person: she will think a hundred times before doing something. She is hidden and not inclined to show her true feelings in public: it is often difficult to say unequivocally whether Victoria is simply lost in thought or is angry with someone.
Victoria is energetic and assertive, she is always ready to challenge and fight with honor. This woman clearly sets a goal and confidently moves towards it: no one and nothing can influence his choice.
It is believed that Victoria’s character is influenced by the time of year in which the woman was born. So, “autumn” Victorias are very practical and collected; “summer” – romantic and tend to instantly fall in love; “winter” – ambitious and even narcissistic; “spring” – insidious and mysterious, unpredictable and impulsive.
Victoria’s family and love relationships
Victoria is usually a beautiful woman who attracts the attention of men. She is aware of her attractiveness and takes full advantage of it when it is beneficial, but is offended when attractiveness alone is called her key to success. Victoria is sure that people should appreciate her pragmatism and intelligence.
Victoria also approaches the choice of a life partner rationally: she is looking for a man who would be a winner in life, who would provide her with comfort and material wealth.
Vika is clearly in no hurry to get married, which is not surprising, because she tends to think about important decisions for a long time. Victoria’s insecurity also manifests itself in love relationships: even after getting married, she cannot find out for a long time whether she made a mistake in her choice. And the point here is not at all in Victoria’s inflated demands, but in the innate ability to doubt everyone and everything.
This woman will have a successful marriage with a man who will be attentive and patient. A sensitive, frank man who fulfills all Victoria’s whims is able to transform a woman: she will open up and gain confidence. However, one misdeed on the part of the husband – and the fragile balance will be disrupted again.
Victoria loves children very much, and if the relationship with her husband does not work out, then the woman pours all her love on the child. This overprotection and blind maternal love does not always benefit the child: he often grows up spoiled and capricious.
The willful and capricious Victoria rarely builds good relationships with her husband’s relatives, so it is ideal for a young family to live separately.
It is believed that Victoria’s most successful marriage is possible with men bearing the names: Vladimir, Mikhail, Semyon, Sergey. Less successful – with Alexander, Dmitry, Yuri, Vitaly, Grigory.
Choice of profession, business, Victoria’s career
Despite the meaning of the name, Victoria rarely becomes a leader, because people often don’t like her persistence and even conflict, so Victoria will not find support in important matters. She has a hard time getting along with people, so professions that require well-coordinated teamwork are clearly not suitable for her. An ideal job for Victoria would be one in which she is able to self-actualize and achieve results on her own, so Victoria will make a good teacher, a responsible engineer, an attentive doctor, a scrupulous scientist, a wonderful programmer, a salesperson, an assistant.
Victoria’s organizational skills allow her to become a good leader, but her innate impulsiveness, arbitrariness and conflict can become a serious obstacle to career growth. Here Victoria faces a dilemma: either pull herself together and control every gesture, every word, or come to terms with the role of an ordinary worker.
Success comes to Victoria in adulthood, perhaps because over the years Victoria becomes more balanced, less impulsive, and able to control her feelings and actions.
Victoria often goes into open conflict with her boss, however, having once received a rebuff, the woman calms down and becomes quiet. She often behaves defiantly and likes to criticize her colleagues, for which, of course, there is no special love for her in the team.
Victoria’s positive traits are decency and kindness, and it’s good if the team is able to appreciate these qualities of hers – then all other character flaws will be forgiven her.
Victoria’s health
Regarding Victoria’s health, there is no clear information on the Internet: some resources claim that Victoria is not sick with anything worse than a common cold, while other sources attribute various ailments to her, such as rheumatism, arthritis, and diabetes.
If we summarize all the available information, then Victoria’s health card will look like this: little Vika often has a weakened immune system, so various sore throats, bronchitis and tonsillitis stick to her; at an older age, Victoria develops problems with the nervous system, she becomes vulnerable to stress and depression; in old age, a woman has every chance of developing rheumatism, cholecystitis or diabetes, and possible eye problems.
Some resources on the Internet indicate the susceptibility of a woman named Victoria to diseases depending on the time of year in which she was born. Thus, it is believed that “winter” Victorias are susceptible to rheumatism, “summer” Victorias are prone to stress and prolonged depression, “spring” Victorias are prone to diabetes, and “autumn” Victorias are prone to digestive problems.
