History of the origin of the name Rimma
There are three versions of the origin of the female name Rimma. The most famous of them: the sonorous, but quite rare name Rimma came into our language from the Latin language. It came from a man’s name, which sounded exactly the same. According to the second version, the birthplace of this name is Ancient Greece, where this name was paired and also sounded exactly the same, both male and female – Rimma. There is a third version, according to which the name Rimma is of Hebrew origin. In Orthodoxy, the name Rimma first becomes known in connection with the feat of the Great Martyr Rimma of Novodunsky. Rimma, a young Christian, together with his friend Panna, actively preached the new faith, for which they were persecuted. By order of the authorities, the young people were severely beaten, then their lifeless bodies were thrown into the freezing river. After the spread of Christianity on the shores of the Black Sea, the relics of Rimma and Panna were buried in the ground, in accordance with the will of the great martyrs.
The meaning and characteristics of the name Rimma
According to the first version, the name Rimma means “resident of Rome”, “Roman”, since this name was originally given to men. Rimma translated from Hebrew means “apple”, from ancient Greek it means “throw”. The bearers of this name have a very strong character. From early childhood, Rimm’s parents notice that their daughters are very persistent in achieving their goals and will stop at nothing to fulfill their desires. Inexperienced parents can spoil a capricious, incredibly demanding girl to the extreme – often adults simply follow the child’s lead so that he does not bother them with his endless complaints and screaming.
Educators and teachers also note that these girls have a difficult character: they are open, firm and extremely excitable. Such a cocktail of opposing qualities is difficult to manage even for adult Rimmas. To prevent a child from turning into a monster, parents must be self-possessed and consistent in their demands on him. Rimma should be taught to consider the feelings of other people, otherwise she may become callous. The girl takes life too seriously, she needs to develop a sense of humor and teach her to notice the beauty of nature.
Rimma is a responsible student; she does not allow herself to come to school with unfinished homework. She has an excellent memory, average learning ability and good health. If this girl is not stopped, she can turn into a terrible talker who spends most of her free time on aimless communication. Parents should help their girl choose the right university – when Rimma realizes that she does not like the chosen specialty, she may quit school.
The bearers of this name are attractive to the opposite sex, but family life with Rimma is quite complicated. Rimmas love cleanliness and order in the house, they know how to cook well, they are responsible mothers, but the desire to bring everything to fanaticism rarely suits their chosen ones. The marital experience of these women is usually short; after a divorce, they prefer to raise children alone, although they do not suffer from the lack of suitors.
