Origin of the name Nazir
The name Nazir has several variants of origin and interpretation. One thing is certain, its roots should be sought in the East, in the area between the legendary Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
From Arabic, the name Nazir (نذير) is translated as “warning”, “foreshadowing”, “exhorting”. It is one of the constant epithets of the Prophet Muhammad, since he had the gift of foresight, was perspicacious and careful.
