History of the origin of the name Gulnaz
The romantic name Gulnaz consists of two words from the Persian language. “Gul” or Gül is translated from Farsi as flower or rose. The root “Naz” is very often used in female names, and the closest in meaning would be the epithets “charming” and “lovely”. The name suggests a certain sophistication of the owner, with a slight tendency towards coquetry. This beautiful name is quite popular in Russia, but Muslim families prefer to call girls this way. Despite the fact that the name Gulnaz is of Persian origin, these roots are firmly established in many modern Turkic languages, and it was through them that the name spread to the territories of Russia. In some parts of Kazakhstan, it was customary to name the first born girl this way, so that all other children, including boys, would be happy and outwardly attractive.
Meaning and characteristics of the name Gulnaz
By giving a child such a name, parents assume that their daughter will be endowed with external attractiveness, self-confidence, restrained grandeur, quick intelligence and artistry. The closest translation of the name Gulnaz into Russian would be “charming and flirtatious rose,” however, these qualities do not exhaust the influence of the name on its owner. Most girls with this name are distinguished by their determination, ability to choose goals correctly and set priorities. Although Gulnaz often successfully pursues a career, in which she is helped by her ability to understand people and her great capacity for work, the main things for her will always remain home and family. Even without experiencing passionate love for her husband, Gulnaz will be a good and caring wife, and if the marriage is based on a strong feeling, then it is difficult to find a more attentive and gentle wife.
Gulnaz is an excellent mother, she knows perfectly well what each of her children needs, spends a lot of time and effort on their education, and takes care of their health. The only thing she can be reproached for is excessive vanity, which often leads to inflated demands. Although women with this name are distinguished by their special love for their family, relationships with their mother-in-law are not always cloudless. The reason for this is the reluctance to give up primacy and confidence in one’s own rightness; Gulnaz absorbs these character qualities with her mother’s milk. But with age, as a rule, relations with the husband’s parents improve.
What Gulnaz really has no equal in is her ability to care for the sick. Attentive, intelligent, caring, she always knows how to predict any desire, is ready to patiently follow medical instructions and move mountains for the sake of the most minimal improvement in the patient’s condition.
Already in childhood, little Gulnaz loves compliments very much, although early they begin to understand their value. Despite their ability to understand people, all Gulnaz are sensitive to flattery and kind words. This Achilles heel in the rather strong armor of smart and self-aware women can be used by those around them for their own selfish purposes. Gulnaz’s love for gossip, which she takes too seriously, and her inability to forgive insults are also not helpful.
