Openly expressing his sympathy or antipathy for a woman, a man, as a rule, evokes similar reciprocal feelings in her — this is the conclusion of psychologists from the University of Virginia (USA), who analyzed the relationship between visitors to a dating page on Facebook (an extremist organization banned in Russia).
However, the one who refrains from commenting on women at all attracts their attention more. “Uncertainty leads to the fact that we begin to constantly think about this person,” explains study leader Evin Vitchurch (Evin Whitchurch). “We think about whether he likes us, and we ourselves interpret our repetitive thoughts as an interest: I probably like him, since I think about him all the time … «
