After more than a decade of collaboration between The macallan and the glass house Lalique, «The Legacy Collection» marks the end of the road of the exclusive series of limited editions inspired by the Six Pillars that both companies have carried out as containers of the most exceptional whiskey.
The sale of the collection of six decanters of The Macallan in Lalique –Containing single malts aged 50 to 65- reached the record number of U.S. dollar 993.000 at Sotheby’s auction house in Hong Kong.
Housed in a showcase created by the Lalique house, «The Legacy Collection» contains six thumbnails of The Macallan Fine and Rare: two vintages from 1937, 1938 and 1939 (representing the zenith of Lalique’s contribution to the French Art Deco period) and six pairs of Lalique Macallan glasses, each with its own commemorative serial number.
