The principle of the “Baby Cosmetics Stars” award
This year, for the first time, Parents magazine is launching “Les Etoiles Parents de la Coséto bébé”. This grand prize rewards the best bath products, toilet milks, massage oils and other moisturizing creams, released between September 2010 and October 2011. Four categories with, each time, the nominees of the two sales channels: selective or large distribution. To rate all these products, a jury composed of experts (the editorial staff guided by the head of the childcare service of Parents), readers and bloggers of Parents, mothers of babies under 18 months, and the actress Vanessa Demouy, mother of a 7 month old Sharlie. It is this jury which, on February 6, during an evening organized in our salons in Levallois-Perret, has just awarded its prizes to the winners.

Bath products:
High tolerance cleansing cream, body and hair, Bébé Biafine
Bébé Biafine is undoubtedly one of the most successful range launches of the year. The brand has won over mothers both thanks to the design and color of its packaging, and to the quality of the products. This cleansing cream is praised for its “very pleasant smell” and the “softness of its texture”. “I will only use that”, said Julie, one of our sworn moms who put 5/5 on all the criteria!
Shower gel and foam bath, Biolane
A faultless for this product which is almost unanimous of the jury. For Muriel, it’s a perfect product, Séverine finds it easy to dose and Caroline sums it up by explaining that she loves the freshness of its fragrance and its very ingenious packaging. Our childcare specialist, for her part, appreciates the presence in its composition of marine trace elements which soften babies’ fragile skin and smell like the ocean!
Shampoos:
Very Gentle Detangling Shampoo, Baby Mixa
A real innovation, praised by our entire jury. This is the first time that a brand has taken an interest in dry, curly or curly hair, which is difficult to style. In short, to the hair of mixed-race or colored babies. Its formula with shea and jojoba oil makes it the anti-knot pro. Let’s leave the last word to Claire: “Very effective and a strong detangling power”.
Moisturizers:
Pediatril Moisturizing Cream, Avène
A high-tech cream! Its “Défi” closure system is exceptional because it allows no preservative to be used, the cream remaining sterile. It has a strong soothing power (normal, it uses thermal water), moisturizing and “leaves the skin soft but not oily”, specifies Julie. And we also really like its forget-me-not blue, the blue eyes of babies!
Nourishing Cream, Pure & Natural, Nivea baby
The jury particularly appreciates its fluid texture which makes it very easy to apply. Nice success for this product from the Pure & Natural range, a line that is not entirely organic, but which promotes naturalness – no paraben, no alcohol, no coloring and a hint of organic shea butter, rich in omega 6.
Toilet waters and milks:
Nourishing Cleansing Milk, Pure & Natural, Nivea baby
“A pretty bottle, the smell is nice and the milk cleanses the skin perfectly well, a sure bet” says Lauriane, won over! Like Claire who specifies: “I like its texture which allows you to massage baby at the same time”. And Parents finds that this range, as natural as possible, really finds its place between organic and others.
No-Rinse High Tolerance Cleansing Milk, Baby Biafine
Another price for the brand! The jury is full of praise and unanimity. Marlène even confesses: “It cleans gently, its delicious scent pleased me so much that I couldn’t resist, I tried it as a makeup remover…”
Massage oils:
Mom and Baby Massage Oil, Topicrem, Organic Baby Care
” She is perfect. I like its organic side, ”says Claire. “This oil makes the skin very soft,” adds Laurianne. Mission accomplished for Topicrem and its new organic baby care range. This oil is based both on the fundamentals of the brand, specialist in dry and delicate skin, by associating a pleasure dimension … since it is intended for massage.
