An excessive love of sugary soft drinks can cause hyperactivity and provoke behavioral problems.
An excessive love of sugary soft drinks can cause hyperactivity and provoke behavioral problems. This opinion was reached by scientists from the University of Oslo (Norway), led by Dr. Lars Lien, based on a survey of 5498 adolescents aged 15–16 years.
They found an association between soda consumption and behavioral disturbances, especially in those who drank more than four glasses a day.
Scientists see the reason for this dependence in the high content of sugar and caffeine. Lemonade and cola should not become an everyday habit and replace normal food, as teenagers do.
