An alkaline diet is a diet that increases the amount of oxygen in the blood. The most alkaline foods are raw vegetable stems, unsweetened fruits, herbs, and cereals. The opposite of an alkaline diet is acidic.
The amount of oxygen absorbed by the blood is measured by the pH scale, which varies from 0 to 14. The most acidic environment is pH 0, the most alkaline is 14.
Proper acid-base balance
Our blood is well balanced with a slight deviation in the alkaline environment: pH 7,365.
At the beginning of the 20th century, great scientists and Nobel laureates made a big discovery and it consisted of the following. If our blood cannot absorb enough oxygen, then we get sick: cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, candidiasis.
As you know, our body is constantly trying to keep the temperature at around 36,6 C. But did you know that it tries even harder to keep the blood in the pH balance of 7,365? When the acid-base balance is disturbed, we feel bad: we get tired, gain weight, digestion deteriorates, we feel pain.
Most people of Western civilization are too acidic, which causes a general increase in the incidence of severe diagnoses.
But where does acidity come from?
Stress
Toxins
vermin
FOOD
List of acidifying foods:
It is sad that most of the food that all of humanity loves acidifies the body. What are these products? You guess right:
Old or processed food
Sugar
All animal products
Grains: (white) wheat, rice, noodles, flour, bread, etc.
Some fruit
Dairy produce
Peanut, cashew
List of alkalizing products:
Vegetables – especially raw green leaves and stems
Fresh herbs and spices – parsley, basil, cilantro, ginger
Fruits such as avocado, cucumber, young coconuts, watermelons
Sprouts: mung beans, lucena, broccoli
Good alkalizing drinks are coconut milk, vegetable juice, wheatgrass juice. But if your body is highly acidic, then you may need alkaline supplements to restore balance more quickly.

By eating alkaline foods, we help our bodies cope with most diseases on their own.
