Ideal weight for a woman: 3 ways to calculate it

1 – Brock’s method

This method is already 100 years old. But this does not make it obsolete, on the contrary – it is time-tested and relevant to this day. So, according to Brock’s method, you need to subtract 100 from your height. This will be an indicator of your ideal weight. For example, if your height is 165 cm, then the optimal weight will be 65 kilos.

2 – Quetelet method

This method is also called BMI – Body Mass Index. Growth indicators are also taken into account in it. To determine your ideal weight, you need your weight in kg. divided by the height in meters, which is squared.

For example, with a height of 1,6 and a weight of 60 kg, BMI = 60: 1,6 * 1,6) = 23,44

Of course, 23,44 cannot be your ideal weight in any way, do not worry, this is your body mass index, which needs to be correlated with the table.

  • less than 16,5 – significant underweight
  • 16,5 – 18,5 – you are underweight and underweight
  • 18,5 – 24,5 normal weight
  • 25 – 30 overweight
  • 30 – 35 obesity 1st degree
  • 35 – 40 obesity 2st degree

3 – method for breast volume

According to this method, you need to multiply your height in cm by your breast volume in cm and divide by 240. The result will be your ideal weight. For example, (160 × 90): 240 = 60 kg.
