Hello dear blog readers! Hidden abilities of a person usually appear in stressful situations. It’s hard enough to do a miracle just by tuning in to it.
Individuals who have ever had to face their unprecedented power claimed that they had never been able to perform such tricks before in their lives.
And today I want to introduce you to real stories that may well cause, at least, surprise.
Amazing stories
- In Norway, a five-year-old boy, Vegard Sletemunen, was playing on the river and suddenly went under the ice, which cracked under him. It took 40 minutes to find and pull the child out of the water. Of course, there was no hope that he was alive. But rescuers attempted to revive him. To everyone’s surprise, his face soon turned pink, and a few days later he came to his senses. Now Vegard goes to school and is no different from his peers. But scientists are scratching their heads, trying to find an explanation for what happened. For example, a theory arose that brain cells can exist in ice-cold water without oxygen for a long time. While at normal temperature they die literally within 6 minutes.
- In 1998, in the Kemerovo region, a carpenter in the taiga accidentally stumbled upon a sleeping bear. You can understand the horror he experienced. I woke up only at home, in my yard, alive and well and with a huge log, which for some reason I grabbed while running away from a predator. After the shock wore off, he couldn’t move it even a couple of millimeters, let alone lift it.
Maternal instinct
- In emergency situations, a person can do something impossible. Especially when it comes to the life and health of your own child. In Georgia, the Chevrolet Impala, an iconic, powerful American car, suddenly fell off the jack and crushed Tony, who was repairing it. Luckily, my mother was there at the time. No, she didn’t call 911. She just lifted the car and held it until she was sure her son was out. She could not logically explain her act, as well as ever repeat this trick.
- And in Quebec in 2006, a woman entered into an unequal battle with a real bear. She noticed how he was approaching the place where her son played with friends. One would think that she died, buying a little time to save the children. But it was not there. The frightened mother managed not only to hold out for a long time, holding the beast. But also to come out of the battle as a winner with a couple of scratches, literally knocking the bear out. Arriving in time, the neighbor had only to finish him off with shots.
- In St. Petersburg, a 2-year-old baby fell out of a window on the seventh floor, but his mother, who rushed after him, managed to grab him. With one hand she held her child, and with the other, more precisely, with just two fingers, index and middle, she caught on the cornice. The shock was so strong that the rescuers barely managed to unclench her fingers in order to remove her from the window. She let go of the child’s hand only after a few hours, despite the persuasion of specialists.
Unique people
They were either born that way, or they managed to find ways that allowed them to become literally extraordinary.
- Alexander Zass. Russian athlete who performed in the circus under the pseudonym Samson. He could quite calmly put a horse on his shoulders and walk around the arena with her, as if nothing had happened. Raise the piano along with two young ladies on it — a pianist and a dancer. Or hold it with your teeth, being suspended by the legs under the dome. Samson could use his bare hands to catch a cannon ball. Hammer nails with the palm of your hand, and then pull them out by the hat. In general, he could do a lot of things, but it’s not clear how he managed to do it all.
- Mikhail Kuchkin, also a circus performer, bent horseshoes, putting several pieces together. He was nicknamed «the king of horseshoes.»
- Nikita Lomovsky hammered piles with a cast-iron hammer. And everything would be fine, but he was the only one, like Thor, who could lift it. It took eight people to even slightly raise this weapon.
- And Paul Anderson, lying down, held the flooring, along which an elephant weighing about 9 tons passed. And he, like Samson, along with a horse on his shoulders, climbed the steps, the number of which exceeded the number 30.
Mental capacity
- Samvel Gharibyan, a native of Yerevan, is a Guinness World Record holder, twice, thanks to an unrealistic memory. In 1990, he managed to memorize 1000 foreign words. And not just to remember, but also to reproduce in the same sequence. The complexity of the task was that these words were in languages unfamiliar to him. Not only did he not know their translation, but he had never met them before in his life. About how he managed to open access to unlimited volumes of his memory, he shared with humanity.
- Abram Fedorovich Ioffe, an academician and scientist, often used the table of logarithms. And everything would be fine, but it consisted of 30 digits, which he accurately reproduced in memory.
- Leslie Robinson, being blind and uneducated, mentally retarded, was able to reproduce Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 without a single mistake. The amazing thing about this act is that he did it after he first heard it.
- James Pullen, another mentally retarded kid, modeled ships and designed high-level security systems. And this, as you understand, is not possible for even a very smart person.
Why is it difficult to develop them?
After reading these real stories about superpowers, many of you may be thinking about how to develop them for yourself. You can create conditions similar to those in which these heroes were, scare yourself and endlessly believe in power and hidden potential.
But attempts may not bring the expected result. The fact is that our brain is extremely susceptible to external stimuli, but when it understands where the source of irritation comes from, it does not need to send a signal about an urgent release of adrenaline.
It’s like, for example, how to tickle yourself to hiccups. A rare person is capable of this. And not because he is not afraid of tickling, but simply he is not so susceptible to it if he tries to carry it out on his own.
There are many ideas that Tibetan monks are able to perform unrealistic tricks with their bodies. For example, refusing sleep, oxygen, food, they seem to activate some internal resources unknown to mankind, which help them survive in extreme conditions.
But their names are not known. Perhaps because they are not sociable and lead an overly ascetic lifestyle in complete solitude. It remains only to guess whether they really exist and how they managed to develop such abilities in themselves.
