PSYchology

Neuro Linguistic Programmers Robert Dilts and Stephen Gilligan co-authored… a guide for life’s walkers. The goal is to help us live a bright and dignified life.

Robert Dilts is the author of many works on Neuro Linguistic Programming, one of the first students of John Grinder and Richard Bandler, he also studied with Milton Erickson and Gregory Bateson. The latter two also taught his younger co-author, now a PhD in psychology and the recipient of a rare Erickson Foundation award for his scientific and practical contributions. Together they wrote nothing less than a manual for those who are on the path of life. Not success in any particular area, not the acquisition of useful skills, but a worthy and interesting life — this is the task that they set for themselves and the fulfillment of which they promise readers. The work with time and space, with consciousness and body, described (or, perhaps, more correctly, shown) in the book, is not a means, but already a part of this path. The form of presentation is a dialogue between two authors and communication with the group in which the classes are taking place. There are some irregularities in the Russian text, the appearance of which is explained by the fact that the author of the translation, Galina Butenko, is a psychologist, not a translator. And the preservation of the spirit of the book turned out to be more important for her than literary impeccability.
