This morning, the head of the BMW carmaker Harald Kruger fell right on the stage during the presentation of the brand’s new cars.
Harald fell, clutching his head in his hands, after the introductory words, after which the bodyguards lifted Kruger and took him off the stage. The presentation was over, and the head of the auto concern was urgently hospitalized.
According to the Western edition of Bild, doctors suspect that Harald has a stroke. The man recently returned from a long business trip and felt unwell before the presentation, but his presence was required. It is not yet known whether the Frankfurt motor show will be repeated or not. Kruger’s condition is stable, but the final diagnosis is unknown.
Meanwhile, representatives of the auto concern managed to comment on the Western portal Daily Mail.
“We are all in shock, there are not even words. I can only say that BMW will try to reschedule the presentation until another day, ”the representatives said.
After graduating from school in Braunschweig in 1984, Harald studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and Aachen, and in 1991 he became a graduate engineer. From 1991 to 1992, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Airborne Systems Dynamics at the German Aerospace Center in Oberpfaffenhofen.
In 1992, Kruger joined BMW as an intern in the technical planning department.
On April 1, 2013, Harold was named Chief Operating Officer for the BMW Group.
