The harm of cane sugar

There is an opinion that the harm of cane sugar is not as great as the harm of the usual beet sugar. However, one should not rush to such unequivocal conclusions.

Many people who care about their appearance and health would like to continue to have a sweet tooth. It is not possible for them to completely abandon sweets, their bodies are accustomed to sugar.

After all, as you know, the main harm of sugar is that it is addictive, the most real “withdrawal” and longing for sweets.

Sugar consumption rates vary from country to country. The leader in sugar consumption is the United States. And on average, a person eats about 17 tablespoons of sugar a day. He does this, guided by a poorly controlled desire for sweets, which are abundant in foods from “fast” carbohydrates, desserts and sugary carbonated drinks.

The sugar substitute, the harm of which is even less obvious, is also loved by many people who are passionate about a healthy lifestyle, fitness and their appearance.

The benefits of cane sugar are perhaps exaggerated. Yes, its mineral and vitamin composition is richer than white. These are mainly vitamins of group B. For which, by the way, we pay more in stores. But the harmfulness of cane sugar can be even greater, since its energy value is much higher. This threatens sugar lovers with extra pounds at the waist. Its carbohydrate content is the same as in white. In addition, cane sugar is often colored, and artificial colors make it even more dangerous.

Therefore, it is possible to reduce the harm of cane sugar only by observing moderation in its consumption. The harm of sugar to the body is obvious, and it will be better if we recognize this and begin to control what we eat.

It is not easy to refuse this, but it is worth trying, for the sake of your health.

Try a ten-day anti-sweet diet, cutting out all sugary foods abruptly. During these days, you can rebuild, especially if you eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. And in the future, it will be easier for you not to become addicted to sweets.
