    Step 1:

Five days before making your chick, place the lentil seeds in a cup lined with cotton.

Pour a little water on the cotton every day. Little by little, “hair” will grow.

  • /

    Step 2:

In half a glass of water, add four teaspoons of yellow food coloring. Drop your egg in it. Soak it for 10 minutes and turn it from time to time. Then take it out and let it dry. If you don’t have any coloring, you can also use yellow gouache to color your egg.

    Step 3:

With the back of a teaspoon, gently tap the top of the egg to make a hole.

Remove the pieces of shell and empty the contents into a glass.

Then gently rinse the inside of the shell with water.

    Step 4:

In order for the chick to stand, it needs a base. To make it, take an old postcard and cut a strip 2 cm wide in its diagonal.

  • /

    Step 5:

Then cut a strip of the same length and 4 cm wide from a green leaf.

Glue this green strip on the other strip.

  • /

    Step 6:

With tape, fix the ends to form a circle that will serve as a base.

  • /

    Step 7:

On the green part that protrudes from the strip of the base, have fun making fringes with your scissors so as to represent grass.

  • /

    Step 8:

Then trace and decorate in the yellow leaf small wings and a beak.

Then glue them on your egg.

With a black felt-tip pen, draw eyes for your chick.

    Step 9:

When the hair is long enough, place it delicately, with the cotton, inside the shell. All you have to do is put your chick on its base. That’s it, he’s ready to decorate the Easter table! And don’t forget to pour a little water on the cotton every day so as to keep her beautiful hair as long as possible …
