Hi all. My name is Evgenia, I am interested in household appliances and know firsthand a lot about the intricacies of the production, operation and repair of all kinds of appliances. Today my attention was drawn to an advertisement on TV for a new Haier washing machine. Since I am thinking about buying a more recent washing machine, I decided to inquire about what kind of brand it is, what it produces, whether customers trust it and whether it is worth considering any model of a washing machine as my future purchase. Who is the manufacturer?

Having run through the official websites of “Hayer” and online stores – dealers of this brand, I came across the following phrases:

• «World leader».
• «Haier holds the lead in the ranking among major home appliance manufacturers for 7 years».
• «Transnational company».
• «The world’s largest manufacturer of home appliances».
• «One of the world’s leading manufacturers of home appliances and electronics».

The list could go on, but I hope you get the point. Laudatory speeches, but in essence it is not clear: who? where? from what country? where is the power? All this information is carefully hidden from simple-minded buyers, who are already led to world ratings (according to the manufacturer).

Digging deeper (just looking at Wikipedia), I found out that Haier is a Chinese company that successfully sells its products in 160 countries around the world. Thought the questionWhere is the technology produced?” is exhausted, but Google broadcasts that Haier factories are located not only in China, but also in Europe and even in the United States. There are factories in Italy and in 5 African countries (Tunisia, Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria and South Africa), so the brand’s geography is not bad.

I have nothing against Asian brands, many of them have long justified my trust in terms of assembly, electronics, functionality and design, but it is always embarrassing that information about Chinese production is so carefully hidden. Apparently, the whole point is that our buyer has a strong immunity to the word “Chinese” and the first thing the user asks when going to the store: “Whose production?“, and the seller hurries to assure:”No, what are you, this is not China!“. Such a reaction of society is quite justified – the market is terribly littered with cheap consumer goods from China, which is sent to the landfill every day.

How do I form an opinion about a Chinese company? It’s simple, I have 3 criteria:

1. Recognition in the world. With this, everything is in order – remember about 160 countries.
2. User Reviews – this is yet to be dealt with.
3. Brand History.

History … One-day firms that register headquarters in the States and write about 20 years of experience immediately discourage them from buying something – lie to someone else. With Hyer, the situation is better – Wikipedia writes that the company was established in 1984. Almost 35 years is a long time to mature (after all, from the age of 35 they take the presidency), so let’s give this brand a chance and see what it offers us.

What does Haier offer?

Let me remind you that there are several types of washing machines:

• Frontal (classic, with a glass hatch).
• Vertical (with a top cover – for those who have problems with free space).
• Compact (miniature, low washers).
• Narrow (with width up to 40 cm).
• Semiautomatic (country option).

Haier only has front-facing AMAs, so if you need a different type, this brand is definitely not for you. But it’s worth reading, maybe you will throw out a laundry basket or an extra cabinet from the kitchen, giving way to one of the beauties. And to be honest, Hayer cars are beautiful, aesthetic and attractive at first glance.

This Chinese brand also has a not new, interesting, but expensive solution – CMA with two drums.

Let’s go over the main characteristics that are inherent in, if not all, then most of the brand’s cars (based on 12 standard models):

• Roominess – 6, 7 and 8 kg, for every taste, as they say.
• Maximum spin speed: 1000 to 1400 rpm. In any case, the “dinosaurs” are better, which squeeze out a maximum of 800 revolutions. The spin class, depending on the number of revolutions, can be C and B.
• The most expensive models are supplied with drying – no need to buy a dryer.
• Number of programs – from 9 to 16. Minimum for conservative users and maximum for advanced users.
• Energy consumption. The spread is large – from B to A +++, but mostly all models come with the highest energy efficiency class, which means they are economical and will not wind up extra kilowatts.

• All but the cheapest typewriter have child protection – without this useful option, families with curious kids are nowhere.
• С display the situation is the same as with protection – it is in all cars, except for the most budgetary one. It seems to me that a screen is simply necessary today, now there is a display on almost everything.

• Noise level – from 71 to 78 dB. I consider this to be an acceptable indicator. Silent machines do not exist, no matter how advertising lies to us.
• Hatch diameter all models have 32 cm – pushing a blanket or a down jacket through such a “window” will not be a problem.

I wouldn’t buy it for myself – I don’t like the design, there are not enough programs, this is already enough to look for another machine. But for those who don’t care what the technique looks like – if only they erased it, and don’t need a lot of modes, this option is suitable.

Pros:

• All necessary washing modes.
• Removes old stains well.
• Compact
• When pressed, it doesn’t shake.
• Price = quality.
• Squeezes well.
• There is a quick wash.
• Big things (pillow, blanket) are placed.
• Consumes little water.

Cons:

• Noisy when pressed.

Roomy, beautiful, economical — can be considered as a contender for the purchase.

Pros:

Cons:

HWD 80-B14686 – the most expensive

Separately, I want to note the design – I personally really like it. A large display, a stylish loading hatch, a beautiful metal mode switch, an interesting elongated keypad at the bottom. In terms of design, this model is my favorite.

Op! The most expensive machine, and the energy efficiency class is only B – not only does it cost 2 washing machines, but it “eats” much more. But she has other “buns” – stainless steel heating elements, steam washing, all types of control, protection from children and leaks, her own program, dryer, direct drive and inverter motor. If you look at analogues with such characteristics from German or American manufacturers, you won’t get such functionality there for less than 100 rubles.

Pros:

• Warranty 5 years (if taken in the official store).
• Automatic weighing.
• Quote: “Cosmic design – this glow is really beautiful, cats love to watch».
• Quote: “The trick for flushing water from the bottom of the rubber seal really works».
• You can adjust almost any mode.

Cons:

Here I wanted to make a review of the model with two drums, but these expensive and impractical “beauties” began to disappear from the sale for obvious reasons. Therefore, I propose a new product, which differs from its predecessors, however, only in design, and so – the set of functions and options, one might say, is standard and in some ways even weaker.

From the good – in the CMA there is a rather large hatch (32 cm) with a 180-degree opening. It is not clear whether there is child protection in it, and what type of protection against leaks, but it is unlikely that all this is available for 20 rubles. But the design according to the latest canons of “household-technical” fashion – a stylish sunroof, a large display, an ergonomic program selector. The model has not yet earned any sensible reviews, because it has recently entered the market – wait for additions or write your own opinion in the comments.
