The IX Mistura Gastronomic Fair 2016 arrives this September to amaze the world with the excellence of Peruvian culinary culture.
The Peruvian Gastronomy Society (Apega) is the organizer of this fantastic gastronomic contest on the South American continent.
Peru mixture, has managed to be recognized as one of the most important gastronomic events not only on the continent but also worldwide.
The main communication media are recording it every year and as a result of their professionalism and especially of the expectation created that is generally clearly covered by those attending the event.
The venue for the Mistura 2016 Celebration will be the Green Coast of Magdalena del Mar, one of the districts of Lima, the capital of the Andean country, from September 2 to 11.
Mistura will be during the days of celebrations, the great host of the millennial kitchens of the world, where the participation of India, Morocco and Mexico, will corroborate the great commitment of ancient culinary culture as the axis of internationalization of the event.
Throughout the holidays, Mistura will delight us not only with the diversity of its dishes and supplies, but also with its culture, its dances and its traditional festivals.
Since last August 3, the organization of the event has begun with the training and education of the participants, on waste management, Good Handling Practices, conservation and refrigeration, trademark registration, etc.
In the program of scheduled events, we highlight 3 contests that will take place during the 2016 mix celebration days:
- Competition for the best young cook
- Competition for the best young pastry chef
- Inter schools contest.
Cooking and fishing old traditions, new profession.
Few know better the quality of a fish than those who extract them, and if we add to this the talent in the preparation, we are in front of true masters of marine gastronomy.
A part of the contest will be developed in the search to rescue traditional dishes and generate new development possibilities for seafarers, as a result of the state program called A Comer Pescado, in which the winner of the Best Fisherman Cook contest will be sought.
After touring landings in eleven regions of the country, a cast of true masters of the sea and cooking have been selected, who on August 20 competed to win one of the awards, which will be presented during the next Mistura celebrations.
The top three chefs fishermen will teach the public how to prepare their recipes and sell their innovative dishes during the celebrations.
Much more than just a fair
El Great Market of Mistura which promises to bring many novelties for this edition, where not only gastronomy is the main protagonist.
The most prominent chefs from Peru and a cast of foreign chefs will share and debate the issues of the sector and its future challenges.
Mitsuharu Tsumura, Arlette Eulert, Palmiro Ocampo and Mariano Valderrama will debate in an exceptional presentation with the title Cooking a Future: Challenge of new generations, where the transversality applied to the kitchen will be shelled with the detailed influence that the new generations will bring.
The culinary demonstration by Cesar Bellido, Ignacio Barrios and Giacomo Bocchio will take us fully into the world of Current Cooking Techniques, which will share the bill the same day with the Cooking Demonstration by Global Chefs Virgilio Martínez and Diego Muñoz.
