Vodka “Zolotoy Petushok” is produced by OAO United Penza Vodka Plants, one of the largest enterprises in the region. The manufacturer addresses its products to a wide audience of consumers, offering quality drinks at affordable prices. Alcohols of the highest categories – “Lux” and “Alpha” are used in the manufacture, and natural additives and water from natural sources give the original taste to the products. The most famous was the carbonated vodka “Golden Cockerel” in cans.
Historical reference. The company includes two distilleries – Nizhnelomovsky and Kuznetsky. The Penza province has historically been considered the largest producer of alcohol, so in 1898 a state-owned wine warehouse was built in Nizhny Lomov, which was subsequently reoriented to the production of strong drinks. This is one of the oldest enterprises in the region. The plant has been operating in Kuznetsk since 1946.
Today JSC “OPVZ” is a modern production facility that meets all international standards. Most of the equipment was designed by the German concern GIA. Alcohol is produced from grain that is grown without the use of chemical fertilizers. Water comes from artesian wells and two natural sources, then it is processed through sodium-cationite filters.
Features of the recipe
The first bottle of Zolotoy Petushok vodka was released after a complete modernization of production in 2013. High-quality alcohol and water are brought to the same temperature, after which they are combined in an installation that gives high accuracy in proportions. Then the semi-finished product is cleaned in parallel-connected coal columns. The organoleptic properties of the product are improved by the “silver filtration” method.
The fortress is adjusted in the finishing vats. At the same time, flavoring additives are added, the composition of which depends on the variety. Finally, the vodka is passed through polishing filters, as a result of which the liquid acquires a crystal luster. Vodka is bottled on automated lines, the capacity of which reaches 7000 units per hour. The company’s own laboratories conduct quality control at all stages of production and even during long-term storage.

Interesting Facts
- Carbonated vodka first appeared in England. The authorship of the invention belongs to the company International English Distillers. The process of making the drink took 18 months, and oxygen was used for carbonation.
- The Golden Cockerel brand has been known since 1978. Initially, bitter tincture was produced under this name, which became the hallmark of the enterprise.

The composition of the strong drink includes softened artesian water, Lux alcohol, sugar syrup and caraway tincture. Herbal supplements are prepared directly at the factory from seasonal raw materials. Pure and soft vodka with a slightly noticeable taste of spices received a silver medal at the international competition “Best Vodka of the Year 2013” in the mainstream segment.
Golden Cockerel Premium, 40%
This product is based on Alfa grain alcohol, which is one step higher in quality than Lux class raw materials. The originality of the recipe is given by natural honey and fragrant cumin. The drink is completely devoid of sharp alcohol aggression and is easy to drink. The taste is slightly sweet with pronounced spicy notes.
Golden Cockerel Special Premium, 40%
This type of product from the Penza manufacturer appeared in 2017 and aroused great interest among buyers. Strong carbonated drink considered it their duty to try most connoisseurs of alcohol. Despite the democratic packaging, the quality of vodka is high. The composition is similar to the Premium brand. The product is additionally saturated with carbon dioxide and packaged in 0,25 l aluminum cans.
Vodka is bottled in bottles with a capacity of 0,25 to 1 liter. The year of foundation of the enterprise is embossed on the glass.
