How often have you promised yourself to run regularly in the morning, start and then quit? Decided to go to the gym three times a week, but then cried over the burnt-out membership? The reader of Wday.ru Yulia Budnyatskaya promised herself to stand in the bar every day for a month and … survived. And I also got pumped up, lost weight and began to love myself more. We publish the diary of her experiment.

By the age of 36, I never went to the gym, did not run in the school stadium with an inspired air. And one day, spinning in front of the mirror in the showroom, she stared in bewilderment at her figure with a flat bottom and a tumbled out belly.

Mom dear! What is it? I desperately, urgently need to strengthen the press, pump up the ass, legs, chest, and at the same time improve the relief of the arms and back. And maybe it will be possible to lose at least one extra kilogram. What to do? I am a mother of two schoolgirls, a lot of work and household chores. Although, however, I would be happy to allocate a minute for my own transformation. The most optimal option for such introductory is the bar. She made a promise to herself: to get up in it every day for a whole month. Go!

Day 1. Optimistic!

The mood for success is like a bulldozer. Famously rise to the bar. At the 34th second, the body begins to tremble like an aspen leaf, the muscles shake with tension. Before the challenge, I found out general recommendations on the page of yoga teacher Nastya Rodionova. So, palms are exactly under the shoulders, support on all four limbs at once. The elbows need to be bent slightly to relieve the stress on the joints and direct it to the muscles of the forearm. To reduce the load on the lower back, pull the pubic bone towards you, and push the heels back. It really is easier.

I googled and found out that the daily bar stimulates metabolism and improves metabolism in general, its rate remains high throughout the day, even when we sleep. I really hope this will help me lose weight. I decided to measure my weight and waist measurements on a weekly basis. The starting point is 64 kg and 73 cm.

The first days were not easy

Day 2. No turning back

I stood in the bar for the stated minute, I feel a strong tension throughout my body. I thought about contraindications, I read it belatedly: the bar cannot be done during pregnancy and with any back injuries, if there is a tendency to high blood pressure or a chronic disease. Fortunately, I have no contraindications, which means that there is no turning back. I stood in the bar twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, I like it. Gambling is a thing – promises to yourself! I decided to go beyond the limit of minutes in the bar and try to add a few seconds every day.

Day 5. I feel the oblique muscles of the abdomen

What does it mean? For the fifth day without a break, and the waist has not decreased by a millimeter. Although I began to feel the oblique abdominal muscles, an unusual and very pleasant feeling! I really want to take a break. I walk around the bush all day, putting the bar down because of vital things. I am seriously thinking of falling on the bed to watch a movie with a soft transition into the arms of Morpheus, but well … 21:15 is the bar!

Day 6. Stretched your back

I was able to stand only for a minute and, it seems, pulled my back. Still, she did something wrong. Anastasia Romanova, an expert in the field of back health, recommends not bending the lower back, keeping the whole body in good shape, from the top of the head to the heels – a straight line. I’ll try tomorrow, but for now – rest.

Day 7. First centimeter

Hallelujah! The first defeated centimeter at the waist. And minus 1,3 kilograms of weight, this is happiness! I feel very well the muscles of the abdomen and arms. Let’s continue! I am afraid of getting some other injury in addition to lower back pain, so I am seriously studying the topic. It turns out that for a long time in the plank on outstretched arms (and this is exactly how I stand), you need strong wrists. I spied on the simplest exercise: raising your arms above your head, make “flashlights”, as in kindergarten, while bending your wrists back and forth. Damn it, how your hands are burning! Exercise perfectly disperses the blood and kneads the joints. In front of the bar, three circles, 10 times.

Day 11. I add 5 seconds

I feel very confident in the bar. Every day I stand longer, even for seconds! I wonder if I add 5 seconds every day, does this mean that in a year I will be in the bar for 30 minutes …

Day 15. Halfway done

Today is the equator of my plank challenge. I can say for sure that the plank is getting easier for me, it no longer shakes like Kashtanka, I feel the muscles of the press, hips and shoulders that have been keeping me level for a minute and a half. The oblique muscles of the abdomen became clearly visible, and this is a dream! And another minus half a centimeter at the waist. Yes, this is not much in a week, but it could have been plus half a centimeter.

Day 17.From palms to elbows

I posted a story of my successes on Instagram, and a hint flew in to me: in order to stand longer and strengthen your arms more intensively, you can switch from palms to elbows. I’m getting started! Life hack: I put the phone with “Big Little Lies” in front of my nose, I forget and stand for a few seconds more.

Day 20. Complicating the task

Obsessed with the idea of ​​getting the most out of my test, I greedily search through the pages with the query “bar” in the search engine. And I find out that it is much more effective (and, understandably, harder) to do the bar, alternately rising from the elbows to the palm, and again to lower on the elbows from straightened arms. At the same time, keep the body motionless. Brrrr, can I? The only way to check is to check.

Day 21. Weight has risen

Tadaaam! The results of the third week are still minus two centimeters from the waist. I want to run as fast as I can, tearing the finishing ribbon with my chest! But there is one thing, the weight has risen.

Day 22. Hellishly difficult

It’s not hard for anyone in the world now as it is for me. I hoped that only the first yesterday’s experience of the dynamic plank would be so painful, but now it is hellishly difficult for me. Yes, I leaned back again in terms of holding time in the bar, but this exercise is certainly more effective and even more fun! Well, the road will be mastered by the walking one.

Day 24. No longer pulls into the kitchen

Here they are, the long-awaited minus a pound. True, after the evening dynamic bar at 6 pm, I no longer went into the kitchen. By the way, in the morning after an evening fast, I got up with a feeling of incredible lightness and made the bar with great enthusiasm.

Day 26. My husband paid attention!

My husband is surprised and delighted with what is happening, and especially that I have not left the race, I continue the challenge, improving my results every day. In passing, he threw it: it seems that your butt is rounded. Have you ever heard a more coveted compliment? After the end of the challenge, I plan to include the bar in the list of daily rituals.

Day 29. She taught her daughters

Both daughters, 10 and 7 years old, stood on the bar with me, laughing condescendingly and teasing. Both cheerleaders are in excellent physical condition, unlike me. By the way, their training time for the plank (and while the cosmic for the mother) is up to 10 minutes. I have always believed that our children are better and cooler than us, and this is happiness!

Day 30. Expectations that did not come true

I can’t believe that tomorrow is the final day of my challenge. It was a long month of self-improvement, difficulties, overcoming and, of course, burning pleasure from the process and results. I must say right away that there are expectations that have not been met. As I can see from my own photos, the plank did not help me remove my stomach, I still need to pump the press. But this is the coolest work on the relief of the legs, arms, back and buttocks with a real visual result. Check photos and measurements tomorrow morning. And conclusions.

Day 31. Results

So, exactly one month of the daily bar. The conclusions I draw based on my results in seconds, grams and centimeters:

1. The plank time can and should be increased, in a month from scratch you can go for one and a half to two minutes, the body is happy and ready for new loads.

2. Due to the overall improvement in metabolism, the plank helped me lose 2 kg of weight, although I did not go on a special diet. It is also important that after a minute and a half in the bar, it is a shame to go and eat a sandwich. Great motivation!

3. My waist has decreased by 5 cm! It’s cool, noticeable and just charges to continue training. And one more result, not measurable: I am insanely proud and pleased with myself. Happy spring to me, the happy owner of new forms.
