The girl learned to walk after a terrible accident

Doctors did not give her a chance even to simply survive, but 6-year-old McKinley fought with all her might. And she did it!

September 26 last year turned the life of the Australian Anderson family upside down. Four cars collided on the Pacific Highway. 80-year-old Kay Anderson died in the unfortunate accident. Her daughter Kylie and grandson escaped with minor injuries, but 6-year-old McKinley was almost by a hair’s breadth from death. She suffered a severe head injury – 99 percent of her brain was affected. The pelvis was also broken, internal organs were damaged, the hip was dislocated and broken.

Doctors prepared her mother for the worst in advance. After a 13-hour operation, they predicted the girl’s life as a plant: she would not speak, she would not be able to feed herself. And, of course, the question of restoring motor functions did not even come up. A miracle should happen, the doctors believed, if the girl simply survived.

And a miracle happened … The Anderson family did not for a minute admit the thought that McKinley would not. Those close to them believed that they would be able to pull their beloved baby out of the clutches of death. After a difficult operation, she spent five and a half months in the hospital. The support of others and the girl’s strong character helped her successfully undergo rehabilitation. As soon as the girl got a little stronger, she challenged the doctors. More than anything, she wanted to get back on her feet and go back to her friends at school.

After 8 months of rehabilitation, the girl took her first steps! A small but incredibly brave baby, she amazes with her masculinity. Overcoming pain and suffering, she confidently walked towards her goal – constant sessions with a physiotherapist became a real chance for her to return to her former life.

And, of course, the love of my mother, who has always been there and is now very proud of her brave daughter.

“Every day McKinley amazes me with his determination. Doctors all the time say that she can’t do anything, and the next day she takes it and does it, ”- without holding back tears, mother Kylie Anderson told the publication Daily Mail.
