Before conception, she wore size 42, and after giving birth she could barely squeeze into size 52.
Emma Forrester got pregnant when she was just 20 years old. This came as a surprise to her: she met her fiancé Dominik at that time for only 3 months, both were too young to have children. But Emma decided to keep the pregnancy, and Dominic supported her.
“I remember my pregnancy – I ate all the time. There was no such moment when I did not chew anything. Snack after snack, and I used pregnancy as an excuse to justify my gluttony, ”says Emma.
So she gained an insane amount of kilograms – 44. Not a single gynecologist would approve of such an increase in weight, it is so far from the norm. At her peak, Emma weighed almost 100 kilograms. This was already dangerous for her health and for the health of the baby. Fortunately, the son of Emma and Dominic was born a healthy and strong little boy.
After giving birth, Emma seemed to be trying to get rid of the typed. But in fact, she did not change her eating habits.
“With a newborn baby in my arms, I was stuck on Groundhog Day – doing the same thing all day, looking after the house, taking care of the baby and eating on the couch,” she says.
No wonder the weight didn’t go anywhere. Maybe the situation would not have changed if one day Emma could not see herself from the outside. When Finn – the son of Emma and Dominic – was one year old, they decided to christen him. Of course, such a day should have been photographed! Emma chose a spectacular crimson jumpsuit, posed in the classic insta pose – foot forward and toe. But both the jumpsuit and the pose only emphasized how far from perfect her figure. The fabric covered the big belly, impressive hips, and the chest, on the contrary, was hidden in the folds of the drapery. All that was left of the old Emma was a young face – and it was rounded.
“I hated my appearance. I was ashamed to send these photos to my family, I could not share them with anyone. And I told myself that I have to get rid of the excess, ”the girl says.
Emma plucked up her courage and signed up for the gym. When she first went there, she wanted to sink into the ground: it seemed to the girl that everyone was looking at her, surprised at her fullness and condemned.
“I put on a giant sweatshirt like it could hide my fullness,” Emma winces.
As a result, Emma found her way to weight loss. She started practicing at home, downloading a whole bunch of nutrition and exercise apps to her phone. But she formed a diet based on the optimal amount of calories – she did not forbid herself either sweet or starchy foods. I just made sure that the daily calorie intake did not go beyond 2500.
Then Emma’s husband also supported: they began to ride bicycles, go for long walks. Weight went and went and went, until the girl returned to her previous size – girlish 42nd.
But before that unfortunate photo, the girl did not at all think that she had recovered. Well, maybe a little bit. And only after the weight began to go away, she realized how much the extra pounds really influenced her.
“I felt differently. The mood has improved, self-confidence has increased, energy. I realized how flawed my lifestyle had become: I stayed at home all the time: I didn’t meet with friends, I didn’t go anywhere. I just sat at home and waited for Dominic to get home from work. “
Emma admits that she became much happier by dropping everything that was superfluous. True, now she is a little scared to think about the next pregnancy – what if the weight will return again? But for now, she advises everyone who wants to lose weight not to be too cruel and demanding towards themselves.
“It’s a long journey, it takes time. Patience is what you need. There will be no quick results. Sometimes I still have bad days when I feel bloated and heavy and lethargic. But we are women, we are strongly influenced by hormones. If you’re having such a bad day, don’t give up. Everything is fine, but tomorrow will be a new day and you will start all over again, ”says Emma.
