Rented apartment – what can be mysterious here? Announcement, inspection, pledge agreement – solid prose. Well, if we are talking about an old mansion, there may at least be ghosts or secret passages. It happened that treasures in such houses were found, and messages from the past. And in an ordinary high-rise building? It turns out that there may be secrets there, and what secrets there are!
Samantha Hartso, along with two friends, rents a three-room apartment in New York. Everything about their apartment was perfect – both the location and the furnishings. Only one thing was embarrassing: there was a very strong draft in the bathroom, and it is not clear where it came from: there is no ventilation hole in the room. Samantha decided to figure out what was the matter, and her discovery made her a real star.
“I literally felt every inch of the bathroom and found out that the cold wind was blowing from behind the mirror,” she says in her video investigation on TikTok. “I decided to take off the mirror.”
No sooner said than done. Samantha removed the mirror from the wall and found that there was a huge gaping hole behind it, into which a person could crawl without any problems. From there it was a draft.
The girl put on a respirator, armed herself with a flashlight, which she attached to her forehead with a cosmetic bandage, and a hammer. And then began what we had already seen in dozens of horror films. She crawled into the dark hole behind the mirror.
“I would never have dared to do it,” they wrote in the comments under the video. But who does not take risks, he does not stand out in the stars.
Behind the wall was not just a niche, but a separate three-room apartment. The windows were wide open, which is why it was so cold in Samantha’s bathroom. In the dark rooms there were sacks of rubbish, cardboard boxes, a bottle of water. The apartment looked uninhabited: the bathroom had neither a bathtub nor a toilet bowl, it looked as if they had begun to make repairs here, and so they abandoned it. The ghosts had nothing to do with it, but it didn’t make it any less scary. Samantha locked the door from the inside and returned to her apartment.
The girl posted her adventures on TikTok – it turned out a saga in four parts, in total, the videos gained more than 30 million views. And it was Samantha’s finest hour – she was invited to her show by Ellen Degeneris herself!
