Due to the lack of animal products, she began to develop serious health problems.
When looking at 38-year-old Natalie Daniels’s menu, any meat-eater will feel bad. Steaks, sausages, ham, lard, offal, and not always all of this is heat treated. But Natalie was once a strict vegan, and she sat on a plant-based diet for quite some time.
The Natalie family preferred a Mediterranean diet – pasta, vegetables, cereals, vegetable oil, olive oil. As a teenager, the girl began to notice the connection between how she felt and what she ate. So she began to study various diets and their effects on the body, and later became a nutritional consultant. And, of course, she changed her own diet.
At first Natalie became a pescetarian, that is, she ate seafood, dairy products and eggs, too, but excluded meat. 12 years passed in this way. Gradually, fish, eggs, milk went “under the knife” – Natalie turned into a strict vegan. After another three years, the girl realized that she could no longer live like this.
“At first I felt great. Then there was weakness, constipation, bloating, I felt emotionally unstable and inhibited, mentally unbalanced. I started having problems with my skin, my periods disappeared. I started to overeat because I never felt full, ”says Natalie.
Further more. Scalp eczema, insomnia, skin rashes, itching, allergies, bleeding gums and persistent dental problems, restless legs syndrome and hair loss – all of this hit Natalie like a snowball.
“My joints ached so much that I could not hold a glass of water in my hands,” she recalls.
Natalie started taking vitamins and nutritional supplements, but the situation only worsened: muscle weakness, circles under the eyes, pallor.
“The vegan diet was ruining my body. Nutrient deficiencies, excess carbohydrates – all of this caused various diseases and immune reactions such as allergies and eczema. The body can cope with the deficit, but only for a limited time, ”explained Natalie.
The girl decided to change her diet and switched to the Paleolithic ketogenic diet (PKD), which is based on at least 70% animal products with a ratio of fats to proteins of about 2: 1. Now she eats steaks and tartars, bacon and lard, pork ribs and broths, offal, even the brain eats. Moreover, he often eats meat raw, and if he fries steaks, then certainly with blood.
“This diet has healed me one hundred percent. Meat is what people should eat. I look much better compared to when I was on a plant-based diet. And I feel great, ”Natalie shares her sad experience with The Daily Mail.
Now the girl does not adhere to a strict food schedule – she eats every time she feels hungry.
“I very rarely eat. If I suddenly get hungry between meals, I eat a couple of pieces of smoked sausage or ham, bacon, ”she says.
She also strongly recommends not experimenting with diets on your own and seek professional help.
“My health problems were solved only by replacing the foods I ate. Emotional eating habits naturally disappeared, now I only eat when I’m really hungry and as much as I really need. For me, this is freedom, ”says Natalie.

“The point of the keto diet is to reach the state of ketosis, which occurs due to carbohydrate starvation of cells. Previously, in order to obtain energy, the body received it from glucose, the supplier of which was carbohydrates, but now it will have to look for a new source of energy – burning the fats obtained during the day. The keto diet must be entered correctly and exited correctly. It is very difficult to switch to a keto diet after eating buns, sweet and high-carbohydrate foods and start eating fats right away. If you break down during the ketogenic diet, rest assured that you will gain weight again. It is not recommended to sit on a whale diet for diseases of the cardiovascular system and digestive organs. Before proceeding with its implementation, it is imperative to consult a doctor. “
