The fourth dose for people 60+ and with reduced immunity
From July 22 – we allow the fourth dose for people from 60 to 79 years of age and additional vaccination for people with impaired immunity, who are 12 years old – this is the most important information from today’s conference, which the age of Poles has been waiting for.
Recommendation after taking the third dose, it is reduced from 150 to 90 days – this applies to everyone over 12 years of age.

The Ministry of Health also announced recommendations regarding dosing intervals. Taking a second booster dose (i.e. the so-called fourth dose) to all persons over 12 years of age. is recommended after 120 days from the third dose, and people over 60 years of age after another 120 days, a fourth dose is recommended – informed Adam Niedzielski.

COVID-19 in Poland. When is the peak of the sixth wave?
– We are observing an increased number of infections and the increased occupancy of beds with covid patients. This wave has the feature that the severity of infections is getting smaller – explained Niedzielski.

He added that specialists from the Ministry of Health are closely monitoring the situation in 12 countries, which also faced another wave and an increase in the number of infected. Among them were, among others Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Spain, Israel, Slovakia, USA, UK Britain and Italy. – None of these countries introduced any additional restrictions. Portugal, France and Germany have already had the peak of the wave behind them – explained Niedzielski.
