We have a positive decision so that medical personnel who have contact with patients suffering from COVID-19 can now get vaccinated with the fourth dose of the vaccine – said Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska on Thursday.
The deputy head of the health ministry, asked in RMF FM about the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, replied that the administration of the modified, fourth dose of the vaccine was planned for early September, but it may be delayed.
Over a million people signed up for the fourth dose, over 750. has already been vaccinated, the Ministry of Health informed on Thursday.
Referring to the statistics, Kraska stated that “people from the risk group approached it very responsibly”.
“Moreover We have a positive opinion from the immunization council to help healthcare professionals who come into contact with COVID-19 patients (and almost every employee can have such contact), they could already get vaccinated with the fourth dose of the vaccine »- he informed.
Kraska was also asked if restrictions would be introduced. Reported that if there are many infections and hospitalizations, restrictions may be introducede.g. wearing masks in public transport and all places where you cannot keep your distance.
“We do not envisage distance learning, but we are monitoring the situation as other European countries are preparing,” he concluded.
